I just finished negotiations on a contract. They agreed to cut my debt in half if I pay. I just saved $50 so I might as well go get McDonald’s with how rich I am

That's cool. If it's credit card debt, just never pay it (at least in TX) but expect it to hit your taxes 7 years later when they write it off. If it's student debt, just wait for the government to pay it off.

$3600 a year (or more) to park in a garage is not the business tho

Then back to vegas for a bit.

In all seriousness I am not sure why people live in cities unless they are into drugs, chasing women, or have a really good job

Pretty much this. Where I grew up we would drive 5-10 minutes to buy a box of cereal. I now live across the street from my bank, church, grocery, subway, and Orange Theory Fitness (if wanted). And I grumble about having to drive for a decent bagel.

Is that after they sue you and get the default judgment which you settle for .01c/$1?

I grew up in the midwest and enjoyed it but after ~9 years in Vegas I can't imagine living there again. I'll always go back to visit but could never do it full time again.

You should get something that would be easy to fix if it does break down.

Should be a nice mini-pow day today. I left early and there was still a decent amount of traffic heading west. We'll see how long I can avoid lift lines.

If I had to go solely from that list without knowing anything about them, I’d say the Jeep or the Nissan. If you could expand your list, I’d focus on Subaru, Honda, or Toyota

Also, those cars are old enough that you can look for general problems they each have at specific mileages and compare to their current mileage.

You guys like early 2000s Honda CRV? Smaller but cheaper and more reliable. Seems like a win.

Had a 2003 XLT 4x4 explorer (same model just different year) - it was perfect, no issues... but not sure how well that anecdote will hold for 2021.
