Why dont you like the queen

Toward the end of the session tonight, one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen sat at my table, being sweated by her friend who was even more attractive (obviously no pics--beat). Most of the guys went all macho on her, and she carved them up playing not particularly well, but absolutely fearlessly.

Coolest pot I saw her play was $350 effective in this hand:

EP raises to $7, two calls in mp, she flats OTB.

Flop: 6d3c2d.

$26 in the pot, EP leads for $15, one MP calls, she calls.

$70 in pot

Turn: 5s

EP bets $45, mp folds, she calls.

$160 in pot.

River: 7h

EP bets $100, she calls, EP shows AK, she shows Ad3d.

She had bought in for $100, spewed off $200 to me, and was nevertheless sitting on about $600 when I left. They just couldnt help themselves; they kept bluffing her and she kept bluff catching them.

We need to see some women you think are beautiful

Lmao I wanted to check the set in the PAHWM thread I got called a troll, lmao. People are so horrible at holdem its not even funny anymore. The beautiful thing about poker is its not one way to play the game. I heard two pros arguing about Phil Ivey's play. One guy (Allen Bari) says phil has fundamental flaws and he was serious someone disagreed. He goes on and says that's what makes him good. He also said the grinder has fundamental flaws. He is a pro and like to call everyone idiots. Obviously his brain has tunnel vision. He doesn't see the big picture.

My point is just because someone wouldn't play the hand like you doesn't mean its wrong or they have fundamental flaws.

I think I soul-broke a bluffer today. This guy was super aggressive and not very smart about it. He bought in full but was rebuying short whenever he busted. He was raising preflop fairly often, notably from the blinds. He shoved often postflop. Hero observes he tends to overbet the pot when bluffing. Table was 5-handed, raised to $6 from BTN with Q8o, bluffer ($100 after rebuying for the 2nd time, hero covers) flats in the BB.

Flop $13: AA6
Bluffer bets $20, Hero asks how much bluffer has behind, then calls.
Turn: 8 check check
River: Q check check

Bluffer says "you're good" and holds his hand on top of the betting line but not letting go. Hero doesn't want to play showdown chicken, although in hindsight Hero really regrets tabling this hand. Bluffer goes WTF upon seeing it, asks me how I can call the flop with Q-high, Hero goes "idk lol"

Bluffer learns never to bluff Hero again and proceeds to donk off 6-7 BIs over the course of 3 hours to everyone else, except Hero who has earned his total respect and is now checking everything but the nuts to.

Hero wastes 3 hours.

the worst part is it wasn't even a soul read, I thought I had Q6 (hero had a cup of coffee after this hand)...

Umm...you didn't even do the float right and still post it as a brag?

You got called a troll because you said it was loose passive to bet a set, not for advocating a different line.
06-30-2012 , 12:55 PM
It is a classic loose passive line. C/c flop lead turn. Its only a bluff line in my game. A loose passive player would take that line. "Gee I have a set" and just bet blindly without actually reading the board and players behind him.
06-30-2012 , 01:02 PM
Betting into two players, one of whom is a maniac, on a wet board is not passive.
06-30-2012 , 01:12 PM
I didn't say it was passive. I said its a loose passive player line. They love to telegraph their hand without reading board texture. They will play passive on one street and lead when they hit their hand. How hard is it to analyze what I'm saying?
06-30-2012 , 02:48 PM
Lmao, Mike Sexton is in the one drop. Who put that guy in it? Best thing about the one drop is not the 18 million you will get, its the only platinum bracelet instead of a gold one.

How is this for a draw of tables?

http://news.bluffmagazine.com/the-bi...f-death-31714/
06-30-2012 , 05:30 PM
I don't think that table was a draw, no way. Looks like the feature table day one.
06-30-2012 , 05:45 PM
Kevmath deleted the table draw from 2+2 but he posted it on his twitter account. Claims it was a leak and its not public information. But isn't twitter more popular then 2+2, I just don't get it.

So my thinking is, table draw leaked and now their will be a new table draw.
06-30-2012 , 05:52 PM
Should reset the draw in my opinion
06-30-2012 , 05:53 PM
Either way I have a boner growing to new levels

Lawyers, anyone know what this means? This is in regards to poker player in jail for alledged murder of other poker player;

06/22/2012 Court Decree Comment: Bond Set @ $1,000,000.00 / Precept to Serve

06/25/2012 Precept Executed Comment: 6-23-12

I thought this might mean he is out on bond but he is still showing up in list of active inmates in county jail.

Why is he playing a sat when he is already reg'd?

Bad beat week:
--heat wave starting, so of course my AC starts acting up on Monday. After just paying to have it serviced 3 weeks earlier. Oh well. I was heading out of town, so no big deal. Call and get a service appointment for afternoon after I return.
--drive out of town on my trip, and start feeling like I have a cold creeping on me. Weird. Pick up some Tussin. Take said Tussin, go to bed, and wake up feeling like a$$. Go do my work appointments in jacket, tie, and 100 degree heat. Return to hotel feeling like death. Fever, chills, the whole deal. Terrible sore throat and headache.
--complete mess on Wednesday. Call into office and take the day off. Think I feel better during the day, but get way worse at night.
--return to Atlanta on Thursday. Couldn't get a doctor's appointment, so head to urgent care. Have a temp over 102, and get diagnosed with strep and bronchitis.
--fill prescriptions, head home expecting a house way too hot and find...
My patio door was broken and my house was robbed.

Sheesh.

Tough couple of sessions.

Down to 10 and 20bb of my 4 BIs, which is my stop loss, both sessions and cashed out up 1/2 BI and 2 1/2 BIs.
