Another question: if you agree to play your normal game, do you still need to inform the table of your staking deal?
You never answered my question. Is your plan when you are HU with anyone, to check it down?

Man she is an awesome player. She 3bets hard from all positions. One of my favorite quotes from her. "That's like the worst hand I could have their, what are you doing". Lol she went off on some guy he made a bad play she made a bad call and it was a chop I think.

I watched her play a hand on a 6 max training video that just blew me away. I forget the details, but she was IP with a low pocket pair, like 66 or something. Villain bets and she calls "he's in the CO with a wide range" was the gist of what she said as she was explaining her play. I forget the flop, but there were a couple of overs. Villain bets the flop and she calls "we're way ahead of his range." Turn card comes down, doesn't improve her hand, and she goes, "we're still way ahead, we're calling here and we're calling his river shove. Villain has like A4s or something most of the time here." River actually gives her a set, and she laughs and says something like "well, we were winning anyway." Villain shoves, she snap calls, and villain shows ace rag just like she said on the turn.

No it isn't which is why I asked my question to you: as long as you play your normal game, do you think it's collusion or not?

How many 1/2 players here actually save every poker dollar they make?

Even though I play mainly 3/5 its still a 200/300 cap game. So our winrate's are alike. I'm doing horrible this year 18$ an hour. Last year I ran 25$/hr.

Its very hard for me to save when I pay bills and live off my bankroll. Playing is just like collecting interest on my money. So pretty much I'm in a rat wheel. If I don't bink a donkament or get a decent job(not going to happen) I won't ever reach 30buyins at nl 1k.

What are some of your ideas to trick yourself to not spend your winnings?

If you let the table know about your agreement then it is up to the table to decide how you are playing. Your job is to play your normal game so that they do no get the feeling you are colluding. Definition of collusion :

1.
a secret agreement, especially for fraudulent or treacherous purposes; conspiracy: Some of his employees were acting in collusion to rob him.
2.
Law . a secret understanding between two or more persons to gain something illegally, to defraud another of his or her rights, or to appear as adversaries though in agreement: collusion of husband and wife to obtain a divorce.

If you announce to the table then it is no longer collusion as long as you guys aren't hiding anything else.

Get a real job and build up a roll. Seriously dude, the only way you'll ever be on firm financial footing is by playing 5/10 so all of your decisions should be based on doing what it takes to get to 5/10.

Start delivering pizzas or something and listen to poker podcasts or find a job doing something in the morning so you can play at night. If you are a reg try to get a job as a prop or something.

You gotta do what it takes until you have a nut.
03-05-2012 , 04:41 PM
Man that post is inspiring. But your correct. I have to get rolled for 5/10. By any means necessary.

So she tweeted that the hand was actually QJ on a Js8s9s Q Qs board where she r/f the river against an unknown. Pretty sick fold.

I thought it was preflop.... The live feed really sucks.

DN sure does play with his iPad/phone a ton. Either he has a killer read on everyone at the table or he just auto-pilots his way through these things.
03-05-2012 , 05:38 PM
When he first started he didn't have head phones on. But it seems to me once he got real reads on the table. He put his headphones on and started his autopilot.

This post makes 0 sense.

Why would he give up playing in any game that is earning him $25/hour ($18 this year) to go deliver pizzas for min wage?

You expect to build a roll with a lower income?

I expect him to not be able to play at a high level for 40+ hours a week and that having a steady income and playing at night will give a sense of stability to his BR that does not currently exist.

You assume that you just show up and mint 20 $/hr but thats just a bunch of bull****.
03-05-2012 , 05:57 PM
min wage doesn't have to deal with downswings...

The "post makes 0 sense".. Really?

How many hours do you put in at the tables every week? How much of that is your A game? B game? C game?

How many of those hours are you guaranteed an income?
03-05-2012 , 06:02 PM
No offense Pokah, but instead of whining about the crappy structure of your game and how you can't save up money, you should just learn to deal with things.

Adapt and survive.
