I've heard that there's a lot of Reload Bonuses on this network. How do I find out about those? Is ther a way to be notified by email?

You're going to want to talk to TheHip41. He's much better at bonus whoring and collecting his monthly AP welfare check than he is at poker.

Maybe that's not cool either. I just don't think it's a good idea to start (restart) the fire. Me being guilty of that in the past doesn't matter on this account unless you think living up to my low standards is admirable. Now if Martina starts something and you wish to retaliate, I won't interfere as I never have in the past. You may ask why don't I admonish her when she starts something? And my response would be, it's complicated.

if you have an acct they email you every time

but, they recently started deducting them from MGR 100% and gave them an expiration date. also, while they used to be like 600+ every time the last one was 150. so if you have rb it's a lot of hassle for very little gain and if you don't have rb I don't even know why you would play there.

yeah the expiration date sucks and I didn't know they deduct the MGR 100%. Do you know of any better deals? should I go for the ironman on FTP?

You shouldn't be putting words in other's mouth because you would be upset (behave badly and use racial slurs as last resort; as it has been your pattern of behaviors historically) when you get corrected because you are wrong.

Ya, I never thought much of TheHip41 pokah skills. His poker performance data did not show anything other than average.

I know the ironman bonuses eat into your MGR. not sure about tournament tokens but I hear they're a better deal. I can't get rb there so I don't care enough to find out more. within the next week or so my entire roll will be on stars anyway.

I still don't get exactly how the bonuses eat into your MGR (is MGR the same a RB?). Last month I cleared more in bonuses than I earned in RB, yet I still received ~70% of the RB I should have. What's the deal?

MGR = monthly generated rake = the figure used to calculate rakeback

$5 bonus doesn't eat $5 of rakeback, it just means you're considered to have paid $5 less rake for purposes of determining how much rb you get

now, this is all very standard, but I like basically nothing else about AP so that was the last bit of motivation I had left to even consider playing there.

Is anyone sure that it's entirely 100% taken out of your mgr, and not a smaller percent?

I'm not sure, but 100% sounds right. Last month I did ~$900 in bonuses and was shorted ~$220 in RB.

So i sent Cereus an e-mail to check and see if bonus was being deducted 100% from MGR and actually got a response other than a form letter.

Thank you for contacting us.

We completely understand your concern regarding the rakeback deductions.

Due to popular demand from multiple affiliates, it has been decided to make an alternative change to how we deduct bonus dollars from the rakeback payments.

Retroactive to June 1st, 2009, we will be changing the way we calculate our payment to affiliates payments and will deduct 100% of the bonuses instead of 50%.

Starting May 1st, bonus dollars deductions of a 100% will apply to all affiliates to be consisten with what most poker rooms charge, this is industry’s standard.

We appreciate your understanding on this matter.

wait, why would affiliates be demanding we get lower MGR? am I missing something or is this Cereus just trying to pretend this isn't just a price hike like when they gimped the UB bonus rates?

I contacted my RB provider and they blamed it on cereus.

that's the only explanation that makes sense to me really

I mean, I always assumed the affiliates were paid a portion of MGR so anything that cuts into MGR also cuts into their bottom line. it wasn't until walsh's post that any other possiblity even occurred to me, and given how full of **** Cereus has proven to be in the past* I don't believe the affiliates wanted this at all barring some further explanation.

*the notices about the bonusclearing change on UB was hilarious; they kept shouting "easier to clear!" when bonuses became harder to clear at all VIP levels
