I have a group for tourneys and a group for ring games. Both have the same slot set up. How do I get them to share slots instead of being stacked on top of each other? For example, if I open 2 ring games, they will be placed into slots 1 & 2. Then if I open 2 tourneys, they will also be placed into slots 1 & 2, but I want them to go to slots 3 & 4. The same thing happens if I play at multiple sites. Is there a setting to handle this?

Just set up one group. In the Configure window check the boxes under Regular Expression for tournaments, ring games, other sites you play. This way they are all in one group and won't overlap each other.

ok, the regex script that Easy sent me for Cake works ok. But it has an odd bug. I have only used it to multitable $5 DoN tourny's, about 25% of the time it does not recognize a new tourny window. These tournys look the same as the others but it just doesn't seem to "see" them. Any thoughts?

I was using a very old version that didn't have that option. I updated and redid everything. It works much better now. Thanks.

Hi - been playing with placemint for a few hours.. it's a nice programme and like the fact that it's free

however, i still cant quite get the setup i need. i've selected and uploaded the config files into placemint, so that part seems ok. now im trying to go for a 2x2 stack setup:

top left is my big stack of 24 tables
top right, bottom left and bottom right (in that order) are temporary spots where i want to move tables that require thinking time.. it should automaticlly fill up those spots if previous ones are taken

i want to be able to drag and drop to temp spots, and have a hotkey for the moves.. both to the temporary stack and back to the main stack. also the move back should obv not replace the foremost table on the 24-table stack. makes sense?

thank you!! been playing with various combinations of multiple-groups, swapping on/off, ripple on/off but maybe im too thick for this!

The main problem is one that a few people have been running into lately. The concept of a stack means nothing to PlaceMint, each slot is it's own unique object. So you can't press a hotkey and move a window to "any of the slots in the stack."

The best you can do is layout your temp-slots first. Then make your "stack" slots with one more than you will need. Turn on Ripple Forward, so that your temp slots will always be full and then everything else will be waiting in the "stack." Then when you are done with a table, you can press a hotkey to send the window to the extra slot you made at the end. This way when you are done with a table, it will move to the back of the "stack." Your temp slot will be filled by something new, that can easily be switch when you have a table from the "stack" that needs attention.

There's a problem when closing tables. Sometimes when I close a table, another table from another slot is moved to replace the closed table. It doesn't happen every time, maybe every 5th time or so. Maybe it happens when another table in another slot gets focus (because it's our turn to act) at the same time when the other table closes, not sure though.

Do you have Ripple Forward enabled? Sounds like you do and you are closing a window that is not last in the list.

Ripple Forward is NOT enabled.

I have been trying to get this working for over an hour with no luck.

I have 2 monitors: a 30 inch monitor on the left and a 20 inch in portrait mode on the right. All the tables that I'm on the waitlist for are on the 20 inch monitor and I 9 table on the 30 inch monitor. How do I configure so that I can get this working?

Here is my layout when playing. I have the tables I'm playing on the left 30 inch monitor and all the tables I'm on waitlist for on the 20 inch monitor (they are stacked on top of each other.

gball,
I'll have to look into it.

Steel108,
Tools > Configure. There you need to make a group and assign it the PokerStars regex. Then move to the Slots tabs and keep adding and positioning new slots until you have the layout you want. There is a Show check box that will let you arrange the slots with temporary windows.

i have a stack of tables on the top left om my screen (10 or so) and 3 other slot on my screen. Assigned hotkeys to the 3 single slots to swap tables. Is there a simple way to get on of the tables swapped to the single slots back into the stack?

this program looks verryyyyy cool. Is it possible to use it in ahk form?

iceball12,
The short answer is no. PlaceMint doesn't know the slots are in a "stack" so it can only do slot-to-slot window switching.

Suerte,
The program is written entirely in C# and is completely separate from AHK. If you want to use something written in AHK, check out Stars Planner. They aren't exactly the same, but the general concept is the same.

I think I am finally going to try and get this working this week, now that I decided to try and grind NLHE again. I want to be able to use this to control my lobby, HM, etc, and then let Stars Planner do it's thing with the tables. Expect some noob-tard questions.

fozzy, I can't believe I didn't start using it sooner. You should def set it up.

allsnap doesn't work for Vista 64 and I don't even care. I would cry and then switch to XP if it weren't for PlaceMint.

Here you go.

For the main window:
Code:
^Windows\sLive\sMessenger$
For the conversation windows:
Code:
\s-\sConversation$

Thanks. Main window works fine, but can't get conversation windows working. I have Windows Live Messenger 2009, if that makes any difference.
