If you can see the Table HUD showing the HUD Config name just click that, pick the HUD you want to show and it should prompt you to set that one as default. Or you can configure it manually in the HUD Settings > Site Options menu.


If you can't see the Table HUD showing the HUD Config name you need to open the HUD Settings > General Settings menu and choose your HUD you were testing from the upper left preview drop-down menu and enable the Common Settings > [x] 'Show Table HUD' option then click 'OK'. Now it will show so you can change the HUD at the table instead of having to do it thru the Site Options menu.

holdemmanager and hemhud use a lot op cpu with me, slowing down my excellent pc. and i only play 9 tables.

in general, would updating hem2 or postgres speeden up everything?
i use hem 2.0.0.8473 and postgres 9.6

Installing the latest HM2 beta is always a good idea:

- After downloading, you should right-click the file, go to properties and click unblock.*
* If you do not see an 'unblock' option you can ignore this step.
- Then, right click the file and run as administrator.

Updating postgresql likely won't make any difference and we don't recommend postgresql v10 as it is still beta and we haven't done any internal testing with it yet. The best thing to do is send us some log files so we can try and determine what might be causing it.

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and send your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

I made changes to the Default_River popup and saved them by mistake. I've been using that popup as a template for other more specific popups and I need to get it back. How can I do this? Thanks.

Close HM2 and delete C:\Users\{YourWindowsUserName}\AppData\Roaming\Hol demManager\Config\Default_River.pop

If you can't see it, turn off the windows option that is hiding that directory.

Restart HM2 and it will be recreated to default.

updated and now my holdem manager wont start anymore because postgres cannot be found and the password which i know is correct somehow doesnt work anymore

i thought about exporting the hands (cus i havent saved them) and start a new db after reinstalling but this way i cannot even get in to HEM2

is there any way to export all hands from a db without opening hem2?

when i checked services it did say postgres starts automatically but then again i could start it, and it gave this error:
postgres was started and then stopped. some services are stopped automatically if these are not used by other services or programs

No, but all your originally auto imported hands are in C:\HM2Archive.

1. Go to C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.x\data, move the the pg_hba file to your Desktop and open it with notepad.
2. Scroll to the bottom and change all md5 to trust. Save and close the file
3. Move the file back to the data folder
4. Restart the PostgreSQL service: Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services

HM will accept any password now.

How I delete hands from HM2 ?

I want delete 2million hands. All hands I played in the past, just want keep with hands played this year.

I think this huge database is making PokerStars ''lag'' a bit when Im on playing lots of tables.

Bulk deleting of hands is done with the Purge menu. After a large purge you should run the Database Optimization and reboot your computer to reclaim the free space from the purge.

When deleting more hands than you are keeping it is faster, and will leave you with a far smaller database on your disks, if you simply create a new database and import this years hands from your archive then delete the old database. Purging of hands can never make the database as small as if those hands had never been imported in the first place.

Try creating a new DataBase and import this years hands from your \HM2Archive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB.

The old database can be deleted from the same Database Info menu you created the new database with, though many people will keep 2 separate databases if they play a lot of hands: a lifetime database they manually update from time to time that they use for analysis and their active database they use when playing with the past 3 - 6 months, or 'this years', hands.

im looking for something to make custom stats.

an example is win when bet river, and villain only calls. i would have to make 2 filters, (win hand and lost hand), get the # of hands it happens, and divide them by each other.

filter 1 (won hand):
bet river = true
showdown = true
bet call = false
bet raise = false
win hand = true
# of hands = 249

filter 2 (lost hand):
bet river = true
showdown = true
bet call = false
bet raise = false
win hand = false
# of hands = 176

so the stat "win when bet river" would be 176/249, 71%.

is this type of thing possible with notecaddy? or hm3?

if possible, how hard would it be to create? doesnt seem to be much material anywhere online about creating custom stuff for notecaddy.

It is not possible with HM2 or HM3*. I believe it would be possible with NoteCaddy but you would need to ask them in their support thread to be sure if it is possible and then their support could guide you how to make it with their software to use in HM2's HUD.

*NoteCaddy has not been integrated to HM3 for private beta end users yet but it is being tested internally by our employees and will be integrated before the official public release of HM3.

I think so. I've found if I have no db's in the folder I get the wizard as if it was a new install.

Yes, that is correct. With the new database files there is no need for a DB Manager like we had in HM1/2 so it behaves more like traditional programs (Access, Word, etc) that store all data in a single file so there is no need for a Delete Database option in the UI.

This is also correct. You can also force the setup wizard by simply renaming the active database.

Im very bad with computer and have no idea how to this things. Can I just purge the hands without Database Optimization ?

Stats will not be saved, but will be saved if I select to save at PokerStars, right ?

Yes.

Yes. It just means the stats in your reports/HUDs for those hands that are deleted will no longer show in the HUD or Reports since they are no longer in the database. The original hands that were imported to create those stats, before you purged them, will still be located in your C:\HM2Archive and you can always request all your hands be sent to you from pokerstars if you ever lose those hands in the archive folder.

Are you looking at your Control Panel > Programs to see that 90gb or Windows Explorer? Or something like Windirstat? The Control Panel amount of space used by PostgreSQL is typically incorrect. Windirstat is the best way to see what is using the most room on your disk.

The quickest way to reduce the amount of space used by PostgreSQL is to delete any databases you are not using from HM1, HM2 or PT4.

We recommend you maintain more than 20% free space on your system drive. Please see this FAQ to clear up some more free space.

Do you have HM1 or PT4 installed or any other programs that use PostgreSQL besides HM2? If you open the HM2 Database Manager do you have multiple databases in HM2? If so, you can try deleting some of the other databases you no longer use if you no longer use them. A empty of your recycling bin and restart of the computer may be necessary to see the free space on that drive reclaimed.

i do have PT4 installed...will uninstalling it help?

i only have 2 databases, one is from 2016 till date and other is 2017 till date....i prefer not to delete any of them

Uninstalling pt4 will not delete the databases from postgresql. Try creating a new empty database in PT4 and then delete any of the older databases from PT4 and see how much space that gains you. Did you follow the other steps on the FAQ I linked you to in the original reply to see if there are other large files/folders on your computer that you can delete or move to another drive to free up space on your main system drive?
