Exactly This.

I want that walk-on zombie role.

I wonder if the disemboweling of the horse was the goriest thing ever on standard cable tv.

I don't think they used a soundtrack during the entire episode besides the final sequence? I enjoyed that, reminded me of No Country For Old Men. Freaky music=freaky **** bout to go down. No music=intense all the time.

Top 5 show on TV right already? Maybe.

opening part is pretty much a copy of the into of 28 Days Later.

Idk, glad to hear this is 6 episodes instead of 12. Can't see any way this story stays interesting beyond that, but we'll see.

I did like the pace and feel of the show. Shot well and the zombies looked good.

lol @ waking up from your month long coma or whatever after a month of the zombieapocolypse to your room being untouched, but the rest of the hospital looked like it was ground zero for world war 3

They did use some music, mostly avoiding the whole eerie music thing, though there was some ominous music before he got hit by the shovel.

Gurney was parked in front of his door and little sound from his room since he was unconscious = plausible enough for a zombie show.

yeah i get it but it was still dumb.

i think a problem they've given themselves is that they've invested too much time in this main character and now they cant kill him off (until the end at least).

Zombie scenarios:

Do they run out of energy eventually? I mean, eventually, everyone lot of people die and ****, the zombies gotta start dying too right?

If the outbreak took break in Africa...would that increase your chances of living? They are bound to start walking up to elephants, lions, rhinos...and then getting butt raped by them in large numbers.

Can they survive in the extreme cold? I feel like the Eskimos are just loling at the rest of the world as they continue to fish and live in igloos. Start walking north and eventually you'll reach a safe zone. Shouldn't heat waves also own them?

I hope these situations are addressed at some point...including some African footage of zombie heard getting trampled to death by an elephant.

Yeah there are huge irregularities in the Zombie world. What I don't get is, shouldn't zombies be in areas where people are? If Atlanta is essentially deserted, why the hell are there a ton of zombies living there?

Also when they looked outside the house, I instantly thought of Hamsterdam.

dont

they suck

(maybe not suck but they arent intense or anything and may spoil the show which you will get more enjoyment out of, the comic is mostly used for social commentary)

Did they say Atlanta was deserted? Im guessing they dont have zombie tales in this universe cuz when he went to the city it was just like why is he this stupid? That and the black dude told him it was a virus so a natural thing to do is stay away from big cities during a pandemic. I guess its written in the comic but damn a bad decision is a bad decision.

Other then that I liked it.

Seems super stupid for the hero + father son team to have split up, but other than that I have pretty much nothing negative at all to say about the pilot.

People keep saying this. Original comic was written before (but I don't think released before) 28 Days Later came out. I think they're both an homage to some other source material. Anyway, though the similarity is unfortunate, it would be weird to completely change the beginning for the TV show.
