Really thought I would enjoy Battlestar Galactica, but am into the 2nd season, 3rd episode and have fallen asleep through probs.1/2 of them. About to abort the mission and move on...

Might go back and rewatch Arrested Development. Watched most of it playing poker so missed a lot of the subtle humor, and think it really would be best with more dedication.

lol what? not too subtle? as i understood it, a lot of stuff is going on in the background etc, but i prob missed all of that. dont usually play while watching.

I decided to stick it out with Battlestar. Glad I did. It started to pick up and get more interesting. Then again, I think focus is a factor also. Plus the bar has been set pretty high with previous shows just watched and it's getting tough to compete attention wise.

For me miniseries + season 1 was clearly the best, but season 2 was very good too.

Find that thread and read the article that posted towards the end of it. First time I've seen something like that for show that's ended. Shows you just how good it really was.

This week's episode of Justified was one of the better hours of TV I've ever seen.

I'm 85% confident I was 100% sober. Either way, it's a good show that's improving.

justified has been my 2nd favorite series last 2 years behind breaking bad but I have a feeling the killing is going to shoot to #1 real fast. I'm a sucker for murder mysteries, combine that with awesomeness that is AMC production quality A++

Six Feet Under - amazing writing so far in it, and it is making up for the disappointment left over from wasting so much time trying to get into Battlestar Galactica.

Not sure if the quality can sustain itself in this show as only 1/2 through season 1, but if so, it will easily be one of my favorites. Having a quirky interest in understanding death doesn't hurt, as well with a fondness for the exploration of the frailties of being human, so far, it's a trip.

yea, it sure does! There are many really great issues thoroughly examined, and with the right balance of humor and insight. This is about as close to something being required viewing that I can think of.

Season 4 is an abortion. 5 has some residual sloppiness. 1-3 are pretty good though.

Six Feet Under was great. Top 3, any order. Going to watch Entourage as have only seen bit and pieces, and looking for more suggestions.

So, have watched:

The Wire
The Shield
Arrested Development
Deadwood
Six Feet Under
The West Wing
Band of Brothers
Boardwalk Empire (it got me started on marathoning)
Battlestar Galactica (couldn't get into it)

Didn't like Mad Men, and have seen most of Breaking Bad. Seen all Sopranos too, on A&E tho.

Any ideas for next go?

ya i was considering this. a friend told me he isn't gay irl, and watching Dexter would back that fact (??). If he isn't he acted the part amazingly. Was my favorite character in the show. I think the show did a great job of exploring the issues of homosexuality. I used to find it tough to watch any sort of gay intimacy scenes for whatever reason, like, just felt realllly uncomfortable. SFU kinda forces u to get over that to appreciate the show.

Curb You Enthusiasm considering too, but pretty much know what I' getting there...and just not wanting that type of show just yet.
