I'm really hoping Dustin wins, since he has far and away been the most impressive person to me. As long as Mike doesn't win, though, I'll be fine. Winning after getting eliminated would be a complete joke.

OK WTF did I miss? They are showing a S3 behind the scenes and I think it's full of spoilers, I turned it off when it looked like they were going to show the next round highlights.

One of the final 4 said he didn't when in the interview......WTF is up with that? Did they show 2 epidsode tonight and I missed one?

Yeah the S3 finale was aired first tonight and then the behind the scenes aired directly afterward.

On the subject of the finale, overall I was pretty happy with the result. Dustin is definitely an amazing shooter and just completely owned that final challenge. I think he would have beaten anyone from any season in that challenge with that run. Just wow.

You missed it. The behind-the-scenes was on in the hour after the finale.

Dustin was incredible in the final challenge. I think he only missed one shot after the station with the rocks. It is crazy how good he is with only being self-taught and with never having competed in a shooting competition before.

The longest shot in the finale was 200 yards. In fact, most of the challenges were all close range. I don't get how that is top shot. Their are snipers who can make thousand yard shots and these dudes find it challenging to hit a target at 200 yards. To be honest they should call it mediocre shot.

Snipers shoot thousand-yard targets with sniper rifles, not the shotguns, magnums, rocks, bow and arrows, etc that were used in the finale. What range constitutes a tough shot varies based on the weapon being used. The show has always been about using a wide variety of weapons, not just using sniper rifles from long range.

They did shoot sniper rifles at 500-yard targets three episodes ago, and a number of the contestants, including Dustin, hit the target in one shot and in under ten seconds. Also, they had a USAF sniper on season two, and I don't think he would have beat Dustin's performance in the finale. If he was mediocre compared to you, you should definitely try out for the next season.

I'm happy Dustin won. I picked Mike the first ep to win it. Would have been kinda lame if he did end up winning after being eliminated. (also was funny how he blocked off Dustin when they were crawling under the wire) Dustin has to be one of the most impressive shots of all three seasons. He was just amazing. He killed it. I was really surprised Chris failed so hard in the duel-flip-target challenge.

I don't know what to say about Jake. The guy has to be up there with one of the biggest idiots of all time. rofl psyops and using sleep deprivation, and whispering to people in the house that are sleeping "daddy save me i'm drowning". Then leaving before he could lose and not even competing.

I can't stand looking at Jake because he is such a clown/tool/kook/idiot/dip****/douche, he is such a hypocrite and just a joke.

Mike making it to the last two was hilarious and his performance there summed up why. Dude had the sickest streak of timing to be really mediocre with anything not a pistol and the only impressive none pistol performance he had was using an AK47 as one.

Lol. Its Top Shot, not Top Sniper.

Put Dustin in that finale against any active sniper and he holds his own even if you add a challenge with a long range high calibre shot.

In episode 9 he hit a moving target at 500 yards in one shot in under 10 seconds with a sniper rifle.

Oh and Dustin should take up competition shooting and hire someone to do whatever he does at bible camp. Dude could perform at high level in a wide range of comps.

I still think the show is biased towards pistol and close range shooters. I think it has to do with entertainment value. They are not picking the truly elite shooters of the world to be in on this show. To be honest I could make a majority of the shots they make and I don't consider myself a great shot. I mean 40 yard shots with a 12 guage slug, that's not tough. 500 yard shots with a good scope is not that hard either to be honest. The throwing rocks one was laughable. Skipping an arrow off of a ramp is actually easier because the ramp gives you more to aim at. Throwing axes and knives only takes a little practice and timing. The only elite shooting they did was with pistols. When they start making 1000 yard shots with a 270 then I would say they are truly good.

I have very little idea - mostly - what the degree of difficulty is on any of the shots and still enjoy the show. The one last season (?) where the dude split the bullet with an axe blade and the guy who hit the 1k sniper shot in one attempt after 30 seconds seemed like the two most difficult just guessing.

well yeah it is obviously entertainment first and foremost, i'm sure they pick the cast not just on ability but personality and other crap like that and its not at all reasonable to expect them to get the very best shooters in the world (however you define that). lot of people probably wouldn't want to be on a reality show or couldn't go hang out at some ranch for a month shooting guns because of personal or professional reasons

they have had multiple world class handgun shooters on and i suspect that it is much easier to get those guys on the show than world class long distance marksmen because of how much easier it is for your average joe civilian to practice and become elite at handgun/close quarters shooting. i know plenty of people who could go on the show and not embarrass themselves with most of the pistol/short range challenges, i don't know any that could do the kind of stuff you'd like to see with any competence. not many civilians who can go out and practice 500+ yard shots on a regular basis

and making an entire show out of guys shooting at targets a half mile away would make for horrible tv. watch those specials on army/marine snipers that the discovery and history channel always run if you want to see that

1, i tend to agree they have too many pistols. The guy who got third screwed up the sniper rifle challenge yet got to redeem himself at elimination with a pistol and there were a couple other similar situations like that. But pistols are easier to create games for.
2, you are an idiot if you think these things were easy given they had world class competition shooters on there ****ing the challenges up. Deflecting an arrow off a ramp using a recurve bow to hit a moving target that was something like a dinner plate in size is ridiculous hard.
3, if you are that good then by all means go earn 100k in season 4.

I just found this forum last night. Looks like there's quite a bit of clearing up to be done. None of the cast is on here. We (cast) are easy to contact on Facebook - www.facebook.com/jaylimtopshot. You can find the rest of us through my page and fan page. Glad to see everyone enjoyed season 2 I personally think we had the most colorful and talented cast. Talk to you soon!
