This entire contest became a complete joke when they still did nominations when it got down to the "green team" stage. When the old guy talked about this being a competition based on skill when he has put Jamie up in the sniper challenge as one of the best at the time and when they protected the builder guy who they were friends with despite him absolutely choking on the same challenge. Complete joke.

Anyway, hopefully next week one of the challenges is Russian roullete with a 1911 and George is up first.

this season has been totally disappointing. finally one of the guys in the alliance has to go to elimination and they change to shotguns. g thanks.

if george wins he's brilliant. make an alliance with the oldest guys, freeroll to the final then crush them when there's a physical aspect involved.

i think he's too arrogant tho and it'll cost him prolly. I'd expect him to fail with the FAL again.

i'd expect joe or george to win. obv hoping for joe.

yeah i dont get it at all, thought it was a good strategy to pick a layup and then the worst that could happen is a 2-2 tie but i think he missed on purpose. whatever, the last challenge was cool

Hahahahaha at George. He either mega choked or he acted like a cocky douche thinking he could give away a point and still win on the rifle then he certainly choked on that. What a complete tool.

I thought the dude that won was the weakest shooter of the four, but he didnt do anything underhanded and seemed the nicer dude of the four so its all good. In any case George not winning is awesome.

Why couldnt they have more challenges like those throughout the competition. The first one with the sliding boards was awesome.

Seemed like George and Brian had terrible strategy on that one, they kept shooting at the sliders, not the point targets. George didnt have any points until like 8 secs left.

I think the whole structure of the show is flawed. If they really want to find out who the best shooter is, it needs to be a completely skill-based competition, with no voting or social game.

Guys like Jamie or Jay could have been way better shooters than any of the final 4, but when they have 4 chances of elimination their chances of surviving plummet.

When it got to the, and i quote, "individual stage" voting is completely ******ed.

I dont think its so bad in the team stage cos it is interesting to watch, but it basically guarantees that the best shooter in the world is gonna get boned if he is on a bad team and ends up in the individual stage mostly on his own or if they just vote tactically to KO him from the comp and help themselves.

Once it gets to the green stage it should be the worst two performers going to elimination regardless of what people think of them or previous performances etc.

+1 on the team--there is a fair amount of incentive at the team stage level to keep the best shooters and get rid of the weaker ones. If you do that, your team is less likely to go to the next eliminations. So in a sense, it might be better at weeding out the bad shooters since a good shooter can have a bad day and vice versa.

Once it gets to the green stage, as you said, you could get exactly what Season 2 delivered. "We wanna get rid of X because we don't like him", or "We were red team, let's get rid of the remaining blue stragglers".

I haven't watched it in awhile but didn't The Big break (golf reality show) have a good format that usually ensured the worst golfers would be fighting for elimination at the end of each episode?

I dont really like the whole team format, Id rather have everyone doing the same thing and then the worst 2 get put in elimination.

they also need more challenges like the first and last ones of the finale. those were pretty awesome

This doesnt help when most of us havent seen the show.

I wikipediaed it, seems like there was a skills contest for immunity, then an elimination challenge where the worst performer was sent home.

they ran an hour long recap show after the finale with interviews from everyone.

there's no way he did that to be a tool to chris. george, chris and joe had an alliance from the start they just never had to invoke it.

I didn't like George at first but he grew on me.

Chris wasn't necessarily the best shooter, tho he might have been the best all around shooter.

True, but we didnt really get to know them that well till a few episodes in when the numbers started dropping.

The guy who was ripping the ginger guy i can see being this year's George and there are a few amateurs in there who know how to shoot.

In any case, that chick was pretty terrible and didnt deserve to be on the show. At least the other woman was a legit SWAT team member, but the one that got eliminated was just some soccer mom who liked to go to the range, interesting, sure, but not elite shooting competition material.

The preview of the second ep and the opening stuff showing some future weapons including throwing rocks it seems was almost the best part of the first ep. The reds taking the lead from a botchy start then losing was fun to watch, but the elimination had no one i wanted to root for and i dont think the challenge was that good to watch either.

Things i insta hated:
1, Jesus freak guy, ugh @ the bible reading stuff in the kitchen
2, The team split

2 was esp bad. How the hell did they think that was a good idea? They seeded the contestants then set them up so one team was going to have the best shooters on avg? So dumb, just use a rotating system where the first team gets the first winner then it gets the second loser, then the third winner and so on down the line.

This season looks interesting. Tho it's way too early to tell. Just made it thru the first ep.
I liked the final challenge with the stagecoach. It looks like they'll step up the challenges.

Also thought it was kinda lame how they chose the teams. I also cringed at the bible stuff.

That chick was pretty awful tho, but I was hoping she'd win cuz there's too many dudes. :P

For some reason I think Mike Hughes will win. Just picking a random horse at the start.
