Going in cold turkey until you quit the show less than 24 hours in is the way.

Why eat high calorie meals? Why not substantially cut down on your eating? Shrink your stomach. Prepare yourself for malnourishment.

My feeling is get aerobically fit and increase physical strength first, but in the month or so before you go, you will need to put on several pounds of extra fat to burn for energy while you're starving on the island. Otherwise you'll begin losing lean muscle mass too soon.

How much notice do the contestants generally have? Months? I know some people are last minute replacements that are slotted in if an originally cast person can't make it for one reason or another.

It seems the base instinct of bad players with little understanding of the game is just to do the "big" flashy move for the sake of it. I remember it was really noticeable starting maybe past Cambodia, but I think it's almost made the game less interesting than it was in the static years of South Pacific & One World. The worst was Edge of Extinction. The merge was ridiculous

Joe is booted for being the biggest threat
Because David and Kelley are sitting ducks the majority takes out the "Biggest threat" in their alliance Eric
The black woman goes on that crazy tribal but again, felt like the players were doing a move just to do it (that was at least entertaining)
David is the "Biggest threat" and has to go
Kelley is the "Biggest threat" and gets blindsided
Rick Devens is the biggest threat, but wins immunity so the next biggest threat goes - Wardog, who took out Kelley
Rick Devens wins immunity/plays an idol so they get rid of the biggest threat - Ron, the Gay Principle.

This continued until we were left with Rick, who was a total moron only surviving due to being given trinkets by production and 2 duds who lost to a guy who didn't even play the game for 3/4 of it.

Where's the strategy?

Cambodia did at least have everyone voting out Abi Maria at 7, which was bad for every single person left except Jeremy.

But yes Edge was absurd in that regard

New tribes have been revealed on twitter through promo screenshots.

Will put in spoilers the divisions and my predictions in case anyone doesn't want to know

Spoiler:

New Red. Dee, Julie, J Maya, Sifu and Sean
Prediction - Sifu and J Maya still think they are red strong and target Sean. The organised pair of Dee and Julie bring Sean in and J Maya goes in a 3-2 vote

New Yellow - Bruce, Jake, Katurah, Kellie, Kaleb
Prediction - The Katurah targeting Bruce narrative continues. Both Kaleb and Kellie ultimately stick with the men and Katurah goes in a 4-1 vote

New Blue - Austin, Drew, Brando, Kendra, Emily
Prediction - Emily completely safe as the swing vote. Think she instinctively leans red following Kalebs visit and Brando falls in a 3-2 (due to the Kendra/Jake relationship storyline which I think will go somewhere)

Weaksauce. Liked the way the season is edited and didn't mind one quit, because it can happen but this is so pathetic. Such a failure on the part of casting. Hannah obviously opened the floodgates. This is a 26 day game! 26 days, how hard can it be? Imagine going through the entire casting process and then quitting.

Two times in a season. ****ing hell. And both of them were portrayed as being generous or magnanimous. I hate it

Sean's last words "I could have gone all the way if I wanted too"

The fact that you quit automatically puts you in the worst 5% at best of Survivor players. You're not special. You're a moron.

The part that gets me is the whole I want to spend every minute with my husband. Like dude, you're going to ponderosa, you're not seeing him any sooner by quitting.

Quitting is such bull ****. Not even because of the rigors of the game or the emotional toll. Na, it’s ****ing bull **** because there are a **** ton of people that would give anything to be on this show. **** Sean and **** Hannah. It’s god damn disrespectful to Survivor. And **** Jeff too for going soft.

Wow Lulu has to be the worst starting tribe ever. Two quitters, the worst physical player ever, a player who blew up her spot for zero reason, and someone who was one quit away from being a top 5 worst ever first boot. Poor Kaleb lol.

Drew seems pretty polarising as a character but he's playing pretty well IMO. I think Emily for sure will stick with him and Austin

Yeah he's gonna be chilling with Sabiyah at prejury.

The whole rationale for quitting seemed ridiculous to me. It's probably one of the worst quits ever.

I'm not one to usually care about the quits, I actually found Hannah's fine as a once off because it was hilarious seeing someone just flop that hard after 2 days .... but this has to be worse.

Probst said in an interview that he didn't respect how Sean didn't own it and I agree. Hannah was faux magnanimous also but she owned that she wasn't cut out for it. Sean literally says he would have won if he didn't quit. , To Probst this seemed to be a spur of the moment thing where he thought he was going home and he decided to get the jjmp on his tribe mates. So he was "going out on his own terms". Apparently he wasn't actually going home. He wasn't embracing failure, he was trying to avoid it.

I always hated Naonka, but at least she was on a longer season with difficult conditions. I can understand why the woman who quit in Cagayan did so, because she wasn't mentally fit for the game even if I don't respect it. Osten in Pearl Islands had infections.

Sean just quit because he thought he was getting booted. It's pathetic.

-The dynamic between Bruce and Katurah is hilarious.

-The players are all really starting to play now. You can make the case the majority of the contestants are playing good games so far. Basically everyone except Sifu and maybe Bruce. Hopefully, the season is setting up to have an epic post merge down the stretch.

-Sifu reminds me of Rupert. Big dumb loveable oaf with zero awareness or strategy.

-Kaleb and Emily are both giving me final tribal vibes. Wouldn't be shocked if they link back up and JT/Fishback (or Carolyn/Jam Jam?)this thing.

This is very accurate.

Although I’d say could play to Kaleb’s favor now if he can make it to final 3. “I survived Lulu”

In the woke era of Survivor, Jeff has to make sure to be inclusive of everyone and not hurt anyone's feelings. Especially as they are sharing the tough adversity they're going through being on a game show in the really rough living conditions of Fiji. Honestly, we should all feel bad for and empathize with Sean. We should be proud that he was able to share such a vulnerable moment.

Like Hannah said, you just can't know what it's like until you're out there.

Probst said that he doesn't do that anymore because he doesn't feel the need to be the voice for the audience. Whole situation makes me respect awful players like J'Tia or Brandon who stuck it out..
