Looking for something new to watch I noticed I somehow totally forgot about Banshee season 4 and Black Sails season 4. I read very good things about Black Sails final season, but not so for Banshee. Hard to believe its such a bad finish after it only got better with each season

The last season of Banshee was a big step down from the previous seasons. I liked the finale but many thought it was average. It is still probably worth watching.

I'm enjoying the show Quacks on BBC. It's a comedy about Victorian era doctors and surgeons. They kill most of their patients, sometimes during live surgeries performed in a theater in front of a paying audience, and experiment with all kinds of drugs and anesthetics.

I'm liking this Borgen show, about a lady prime minister in Denmark. It's a really smart show, lefto as you might expect from the Danish West Wing but not too bad by today's standards. Euron Greyjoy has a big part, he's a semi-sleazy political consultant.

Got talked into watching The Sinner and its not bad. Theres nothing else on (aside from what premiered last week) so it was an easy watch to catch up. If it goes beyond this season, I'm out. But I'll gladly stick around till this one is done.

Watched the first episode of The Orville. Thought a lot of jokes missed, but I like the sci-fi thing. Will give it another couple of episodes, even though all the reviews I've seen are completely slating it.

I liked it. Like sci-fi meets family guy but much more sci-fi then family guy. Can't take the show seriously but that is what I liked about it.

Yeh, I just didn't find MacFarlane's or the ex-wife's character very likable at all, and their bickering relationship jokes were pretty terrible. I enjoy the whole sci-fi world though.

Who thought the robot sounded exactly like Brent Spiner (Data)?

imdb says no but it's damn close.

Based on the previews for "Young Sheldon" it looks like it could compete for worst TV show of all time.

I haven't watched any episodes yet. But, I'll definitely watch the entire series (probably after it's all available to marathon).

There's also a 1983 PBS documentary "Vietnam: A Television History" about the war which seems well regarded. I watched it several years ago and liked it.

It's available on You Tube. Here's a link to part 1.

so i really gave it a good try to watch the canadian show bomb girls. but it's just awful. acting, writing and directing are so bad. it's kinda charming in a way how unskilled/untalented they all are.

tonight i finally switched to a bbc show, and it's amazing how good it is in comparison. "Strike" i'm only 20 minutes into it, but it's really nice watching skilled people put together a show. if you have the tiniest interest in detective genre tv shows, i highly recommend. i read the books, and i love them. i'm so happy watching this show right now.

Salvation has sure moved that season's plot along about as fast as those Walking Dead lets circle jerk in the prison years.
