Imagine having the power to change history. Would you journey down the "rabbit hole"? This event series follows Jake Epping, an ordinary high school teacher, presented with the unthinkable mission of traveling back in time to prevent the assassination of John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. Jake travels to the past in order to solve the most enduring mystery of the 20th century: who killed JFK, and could it have been stopped? Pretty damn good.
Just finished Occupied and I started another Norweigian series on Netflix - The Heavy Water War

WWII intrigue set in Norway, England & Germany.

2 episodes in, it makes Heisenberg look really, really, naive.

its like a magic bracelet that give him super luck. sooooo this guy is a gambling addict, absolute degenerate. ruined his life, family, finances, in debt for more than he can pay to a guy who will torture and kill him... THAT kind of gambler. so this guy gets a magic bracelet that gives him super luck. then he plays roulette for about 10 minutes, wins a few hundred k, and never gambles again. he even goes back to the casino with his magic bracelet, but doesn't gamble!!!!!

Occupied good if a bit unrealistic in plot. Finished over the weekend. May give Heavy Water war a shot

Somebody told me "Colony" was pretty good, so I gave it a try last night. Three episodes and if you asked me today what the show is about, I'd have a hard time explaining it.

I'm out.

I'm going to keep giving Baskets a go, but generally if he isn't paired up with Hot Saucerman his comedy doesn't shine.

Surprisingly, Louie Anderson is killing it on baskets.

He should definitely get an Emmy nod.

In 2006 I was walking out of Excal in Vegas and Louie Anderson, who was doing a nightly show there I believe was in between shows and smoking a cigarette in the parking lot.
He looked more depressed than I have ever seen anyone and he is a comedian. Sort of like what came out of Robin Williams death, that most comics are really depressed.

Anyway good to see maybe he snapped out of it and is making success again.

Not saying this show is great, but that's a huge oversimplification of the story so far:
Spoiler:
He has had good fortune, but for each reward he reaps there is a tragedy to balance out the "luck". (One example is the partner's boyfriend dying.) When he realizes this he burns the $70k he won at roulette.

It's also discovered by Suri that the roulette table is a money laundering operation, as she also wins by playing the same numbers as the mobsters.

Its on my list. Looks like something I'd enjoy knocking out all at once, provided its 30min episodes. I'm in for Gillian.

But Baskets though..... Holy **** that show is brilliant. The pilot was one of the best sitcom pilots I've seen in quite awhile. Its been great since, especially these last 2, but that pilot was glorious.

I know Outsiders gets no love here, but the last episode had a scene that gave me one of those rare moments where TV made me sit there with my mouth open.

Louie Anderson's delivery is so good.

"He fell off that bridge while admiring the river."
