There are accents in the US that you need subtitles let alone other countries might need subtitles. You can move 300 miles in our giant country and people talk way different in some areas. Hell I can go 10 miles and there is a difference in language.

edit: Dom said it's Scottish. I used to game with lots of 2+2ers, 1 of them was Scottish. I could understand like half of what he said and we laughed about it constantly. Same language.... huge language barrier lol.

I really like English shows that go for 6 or 7 episodes and that's it.
**** off lol. If you want to watch something where you may need subtitles try watching Rab C Nesbitt. Personally I don't find the Scottish accent particularly hard to understand.

Ta is quite common in the UK. It's also used here.

It's much more prevalent in the north of England and Scotland but I don't think it would sound that out of place if it was used in London or on the South coast.
To be honest I didn't even notice it was a thing that David Budd said regularly it's so ingrained.

Wait, you mean people might actually have different understanding-language skills? Amazing.

Plus, I'm 55 and sometimes have a hard time hearing voices correctly on the TV in American English!

I actually deleted the part where I said my bf was crap at understanding Scottish because I try not to say negative things about him, particularly online. I have Scottish ancestry so it's clearly genetic

Watched two shows and finished both in 2 days

Light As A Feather on Hulu. Teen show of 10 episodes but only like 22 mins each.

Bodyguard on Netflix. 6 episodes which I really liked.

Sabrina came out on Netflix. It has the same visual style as Riverdale. I'm on episode 2 and I'll get through it but it's not too good. It's supposed to be a dark take on Sabrina, but it's also got a bit of the goofy camp that undercuts the dark take. The first episode was a bit slow going and the second episode is where they've set up the stakes of the season.

Tried watching Sabrina tonight and gave up 20 minutes into ep 1. With Riverdale I didn't give up until 20 minutes into season 2.

My girlfriend still watched riverdale in season 3. Season 1 is actually okay in comparison. I cringe at almost every scene, it is the worst series ever

Give 'The Guest Book' a shot imo. It's way better than the promos lead you to believe.

Wow I finished the series and never even recognized it was the same dude who plays Rob Stark. He is definitely a very good actor.

Series was great.

Major ending spoiler

Spoiler:
I enjoyed the ending other than Nadia being the mastermind, felt lame. Tried too hard to be shocking imo. Still very good show.

I watched all 3 episodes of The Conners last night. It's not bad but I don't see it getting renewed.

I'm sure there both Gaelic, Irish meaning is totally different from scottish, Ta ra in scotland means bye bye, in Ireland its a baby or the grand halls.
Funny thing is I only ever heard tà rà as a kid from drunken women waving to friends.

Stopped community an episode or so into season 4. Went back and rewatched everything (including 5,6 but not 4). Very surprised at how good the fifth and sixth season is.

Is there any episode of season 4 i should watch or should i just skip completely?

Anyone watching Maniac? I’m 5 episodes in and holy crap, it’s trippy. Stolen lemurs, sentient computers, seances, elves...and Sally Field. no clue where this going.

Watched the Frontline Episodes on Facebook last night and holy crap is it scary how much information they collect, even on people without accounts.

Yeah, I watched it. It had a lot of potential, but ultimately failed to capitalize on it. Pretty big letdown.

Finally got around to binging Jack Ryan, It was solid overall. Some silly stuff in the last 2 episodes for sure but I look forward to another season.
