Everyone nitting about Jesse's escape needs to be banned from this thread.

Shout out to Uncle Jack for being my new favorite character and quoting Emily Dickinson.

There's just way too many variables for Saul to stick around wtf is so hard to understand that
lets see there's

-Skyler trying to not go to jail
-Huell has been missing and he doesn't know where he went, could be talking to the police, could be dead
-Heisenberg has been revealed, and a lot of people can link Heisenberg to Saul
-There's a bunch of nazis that are crazy and know Saul and know that Saul knows stuff
-And then there's the nation-wide manhunt for a suspected mass murderer and drug kingpin and he is one of the key persons of interest. His career as a lawyer is done and considering it's the US he has reasons to fear for his safety and freedom from law enforcement alone (I'll admit this is kind of a lame one)

Lots of stuff Saul can't control

As pointed out by many, lol @ the jesse escape. His success rate for jumping off the bucket and grabbing onto the cage w/o noise is like ~5%.

Him getting that latch open, and lifting the top which weighs prolly close to 30~lbs = ~5%.

Oh yeah, him losing the hanndcuffs, ~0.
Lol @ not kiliing him after the escape.
Lol at Jr.'s Principal being such a milf.
Lol @ grey matter motivating walt to not give up.

As for the above, I don't see Elliot/Gretchen even being in the finale. I think was more about the Nazis. The Elliot interview made him angry because he is taking credit for an idea Walt had a big part of (Gray Matter). The Nazis are doing the same thing. They are taking Walt's idea of blue meth and taking credit for it.

He's going to try and kill them, Lydia, and Jesse (yup) because he's that ****ing obsessed with his own legacy. He doesn't want anybody else to try and take credit for his idea.

Yeah, and Todd killing Andrea was probably a top 5 "HOLY ****" moment in TV history. However, Andrea was insanely dumb in that scene.

Lol @ the last part of your post. Maybe top 5 holy **** moment this year or something. C'mon son.

Now if he had killed holly or something, yes. Just don't really care at all about a very minor character getting popped.

biggest wtf moment imo is still Michael's scene in S2 of Lost. Sure the show turned to terrible shortly after that, but that **** was just ****ing crazy.

Yeah, good point, Andrea not exactly a big enough character for that, but imo it was more the scene/reasoning for the killing than who exactly got killed that made the scene such a huge "holy ****" moment.

would be pretty stupid imo if last episode was about walt going after gray matter because they distanced themselves from a major drug lord. what are they supposed to do?

what really made him cook meth in the first place was his frustration about the gray matter thing and his underachieving in life while his former partners were living in luxury. now the nazis are taking this away from him too.

A cool detail was the bit where Walt tells the guy to just give him the needle, he will do it himself and then he gets scared and just passes it back. This is the same guy who used electricity to get out of handcuffs a couple of months ago.

BTW it's funny how no one's talking about Elliott and Gretchen's clothes -- both of them wearing yellow. I'm not saying it means they'll die, just that 5 episodes ago people would be arguing over it for pages.

Nice point. I think that he wasn't getting treatment often at all, maybe just once a month when his guy came by so perhaps it isn't enough to cause hair to fall out. There are also different chemo treatments (from what I just briefly found online) which affect hair to varying degrees. I'm guessing this combination could explain it, but don't really know.

Don't understand the complaints about Jesse's escape. Yeah it's a stretch but when fighting for your life you can dig deep for strength and speed. The point was that even with getting out of his cell in the ground he couldn't escape the compound.

I was wondering about the whole chemo, it doesn't seem like it would do him much good if he's only getting it once a month. But I guess he just didn't want to give up completely.

+1

LOL @ the guy who complain about it saying that when Jesse jumped up to grab the cage, he would make noise.

It's not like the Nazis were sitting right there and could hear it. They were inside a house that appeared to be 50-100 feet away. Very bad chance the Nazi hear him escape from inside the house.

Anyone else feel like Andrea's death was way more powerful than Hanks? Felt like a real gut punch. I was assuming they would kidnap her.

Absolutely love the cabin stuff. Reminded me of the middle third of a movie where the hero trains before making his triumphant return. Wont be quite the same for Walt but the relative calm of his scenes will make next weeks all the more gripping.

Poor Jessie. I dont think he will live anymore. He has nothing to live for. I hope he gets a heroic death.

I think i liked this weeks episode more than last weeks. The music at the end was oddly rousing.

Jesse's reaction to it was what got me. Her getting shot was brutal, but goddamn.

Felt so complete with the theme song being played at the end. That was wonderful.

I could see just a brief scene of the grey matter folks in a hospital bed looking like they are in extreme pain - and then a very brief scene (at the end; after he has "won" but before going to prison) where Walt is casually tossing the ricin container in a river somewhere - allowing us to make the connection while wondering "how the..."

kind of like the whole brock poisoning

By about a million times. Everyone was assuming Hank was gonna get it, and he wasnt ever one to root for, she was always a sideline innocent. I thought they were gonna do a put a gun behind her head to show how they werent kidding/how easy it was if they wanted to thing, shocked.

If I were Jesse Id be in rage mode and say kill Brock kill me you already killed his mother why the hell would you think I'd give you anything now but eh.

I've always assumed it's his real 52nd birthday. Just seems no reason for him to be doing the bacon thing otherwise.

Also, Robert Forster's character tells Walt that there ought to be enough in the generator to last out the winter, so it is clearly meant to be winter in the show.

I agree with those who said this seems a bit odd. That said, I won't let it ruin my enjoyment of the show.

Interesting to see if they go with a song for the final scene next week. Must be so hard to pick the perfect song for something like that. I think i would prefer a song to silence though. So much more iconic.
