Great episode. This is easily the best show on TV right now.

Even though I've seen season one twice, I bought it on iTunes yesterday because a friend told me that about 8 minutes of deleted scenes were in each episode. I was shocked that in the pilot, there was a scene where Skyler gave Walt a handjob while they were both in bed while she had a laptop in her lap and was bidding on an eBay item. I couldn't believe it.

Its AMC so they are limited to what they can air, but they do film the complete scenes to release on DVD.

the cousins are almost ruining the show for me.

Wouldn't go nearly this far but I agree that they're pretty lame.

on the other hand, the show isnt only about some mid-life crisis guy making 3M cooking meth.

Haha. Yeah, I was wondering if they were ever going to talk. A little too much of caricatures now. We get it. They are tough.

I thought for sure that Hank called Gus while in the RV. I had no idea how Gus would have handled that issue.

the first thing the lab assistant said was that there are 2 types of crimes, which i think implies that he isnt directly harming anyone but providing a service

then the libertarian point that consenting adults should be allowed to harm themselves
04-26-2010 , 01:07 PM
Thought the introduction of the lab assistant character was a nice touch too. If Wallt ever needs reassurance as to why he's doing this, it's right there now.
04-26-2010 , 01:33 PM
So does pure lab-made meth cause a lot less harm to the body than your average street-made meth?

Part of me wants to try it once. If that is even possible to do only once. And therefore I will never do it.

Think saul will hold out for more money after bailing walt out?

What a way to think under pressure though!

Yes, hopefully they continue making them human instead of zombie hit men. Maybe they are horrible actors or something, but they are def a drag right now.

Anyone else think it was a little **** for them to sit next to each other in the booth?

Otherwise, sweet episode

Well, at least they give a little backstory here.

Hank suspecting Walt is one of those things we suspect as the audience since we are omniscient, but it doesn't make that much sense for Walt. I don't think Hank thinks Walt is capable of committing a crime like cooking meth especially while he was regularly undergoing Chemo and becoming the biggest meth dealer in New Mexico. In any other show in the world you would assume they got Hank's phone number from a mole in the police department or hacking the police database or something.

Damn. Thank you. Was bothering me. He did a great job.

Got to wonder (in the world of reality) what the penalty would be for moving a vehicle that he was in the process of getting a search warrant for.
04-26-2010 , 03:44 PM
True, Hank wouldn't think that Walt was cooking, but I could see how he'd be suspicious that Jesse was tipped off by Walt or something. Love the lack of Schilar in the ep too.

This show is getting harder and harder to wait a week between episodes for.

Aziz Ansari just posted this on Twitter: Wow. @BreakingBad_AMC is killing it. Another great episode. Makes "Drake and Josh" look like "Corey in the House."

The theft was never reported, no paperwork on file. The only way I can figure why Hank never claimed it was indeed stolen property. Or the writers had too many cervezas that day/night.

The DEA is in the business of bringing down the cartel. If the cartel carries out a hit on one of their own, that's going to be much more personal and bring about a much more aggressive response than killing an unaffiliated officer. It's escalating the war, so to speak.

It's pretty brilliant on Gus' part, as it could both preserve his biggest asset and eliminate the biggest threat to his manufacturing in one blow. The wild card is the cartel's reaction. They might take Gus' decision to contradict Bolsa's order very poorly-- or their resources might be so tied up with the ensuing war with the DEA that Gus is able to conduct business without their interference.

That was for all the nittyness of how her name was spelled earlier in this thread. Just a joke to amuse myself. I basterdized the spelling of her name the 2x's I've typed it in this thread.
