the game thread is a must (speed) read. so much win from the last 5 minutes. in my warped view of the world, it deserves a sticky.

random tangential thoughts from the game: 0 penalties on the saints (yes, 1 was declined on the fumble) is pretty lol. only 3 on the niners (a few declined) but interesting experience watching an NFL game with only 3 total penalties.

half joking but half serious: suicide rate in LA has to spike a bit after the week LSU/Saints had, right?

Awesome GIFS!!!! Catch 3!

Who would of thought the best D in the NFL would allow 2 huge plays and than ALEX SMITH turns into the 1st overall pick we thought he could be on the 2 drives?!?!

not exactly. if we got the last couple of minutes alex every game he'd be better than what we expected. i think most times he's stilll underwhelming. not sure what happened during a lot of the game but it was frustrating to watch our O. then they changed things late in the game, whatever they did they should run it more often and most of the time. alex was very comfortable there then again maybe the saints were running more of a prevent D which they shouldn't have been doing. maybe today is the day VD goes from very good to great like TO did back in the day. we can only hope.

I was trying to think of a more exciting finish than that last 4 minutes, and the only thing that comes to mind is that Oklahoma-Boise St game.

I guess I'm hoping for NYG to win today, but a strict rematch can always get a little sticky. Niners would be favored in that game, though, as opposed to what, a touchdown dog @ GBP? More? If they opened at +8 or more, seems like that would be good value. I really don't see them getting blown out.

Michigan-ND was pretty damn exciting this year with similar punch and re-punch.

I've always liked Ted Robinson, going back to his days with the Giants. As for Eric Davis, tough to get on him too much for that reaction, but all I think about when I hear that is Uecker saying, "He's not the best colorman in the league for nothing, folks!"

Niners didn't appreciate him giving interviews about he and his wife being swingers.
