It's certainly a loss, but not that big of a deal. LJ is 63, is he really going to be doing this when he is 70? Because of the sanctions PSU won't be competitive with OSU for a couple more years anyway while PSU builds its depleted roster back up. OSU already pretty much gets whatever 4* talent they want.

I don't blame him for leaving. PSU has now snubbed him twice for the HC job. I would have quit too.

Chip West (UVA) rumored to PSU as DB coach. #3 recruiter in nation, #1 in ACC. Would be huge and certainly fills the void LJ leaves, recruiting wise at least

The information I have read makes it sound like he was sort of pushed out. After Obrien left, TV Sr. said they were still planning on PSU. I know it's hard to ever get the real story, but the PSU insiders are saying Franklin told him to shop around.

The Rutgers guy is a big time WR with better offers. The UMD commit is a 5* who wants to stay close to home but UMD recently switched OL coaches on him. Definitely want to brag about landing either of these guys.

Also seems like ESPN will be at PSU for NSD.

Franklin just got a commit from 4 star California safety Koa Farmer. Our recruiting base appears to be expanding dramatically and I love it. How about that 5 star OL now one time?

Closing out with the top guy from UMD and the top guy from SUNJ would be awesome. I had thought BOB was a good recruiter, but I think JFF is destroying him.

A kicker from Miami just passed on a full ride to Tulane to walkon at PSU.
