I agree, but the new guy has some serious headwinds to contend with. We'll have the same OL that everyone in college football seems to agree is a steaming pile of dog****. It's possible the LT gains some weight and gets better, but I think the other 4 guys have reached their ceiling. The depth behind them is more talented, but still very young and probably need a year to get up to speed.
Hackenberg is probably gone. I think he has only thrown about 4 INTs this year. Breaking in a new young QB is probably going to take a step back regardless of coordinator.
The schedule in 2015 was very favorable for PSU. Two of our auto-losses were on the road. Next year some games that could have been winnable at home, are on the road. OSU will jailsex PSU regardless of home/away.
But yeah, other than that, things should be better for the new coordinator. Receivers will be a year older, and Saquon Barkley will be starting from day 1.
