You have to think he'll provide some immediate value in his experience against potential playoff opponents. The Rams played the Steelers and Ravens this season, I bet it would be VERY interesting for McD and BOB to sit down and discuss gameplans having prepared as OCs against them with two different offenses in the same season. I can't really think of a comparable situation where you could get those perspectives.

Wishful thinking, but I hope he sticks around through the late stage of Brady's career. Also love the way the Pats gunned for this to happen so expediently and timely. Sure sign BB has a lot of trust in him.

I've heard some funny analogies calling McDaniels a professional driver who just upgraded from a Yugo to a Corvette. Let's hope he still remembers how to handle the gears, including the bells and whistles that have changed.

Either way, this move wasn't made out of ****s and giggles. Pats have a plan. I believe a lot that he might be groomed as the BB successor. Let's try not to think about it and focus on #4.

I really like the fact that we can refer to our offensive braintrust as "McD and BOB", though I think BOB should get top billing.

Also, if these NY Giants go on to KO the Packers and the Saints, I'm not sure they're doing us any favors. They look very impressive today, proving you don't need a high-flying offense to be a good football team.

Tebow coming to Foxboro.

Let's hope Belichick has the cure a second time.

sweet outcome, though tbh as the DEN/PITT game went on, the Steelers were looking less and less formidable due to all their injuries.

still no way we would have been close to -13.5 vs the Steelers

brady was so pumped in the game against the broncos earlier this year, i think hes jealous about all the attention that tebow gets, prob feels its undeserved relative to him/others

but regardless, it doesnt really matter how well tebow plays, i dont see how he can compete with brady at home

i know its 6 days out, but forecast is mostly sunny with 14 mph winds. pats gotta pray the weather comes in good and its not windy

but will praying work when tebow comes to town?

This is a perfect match-up for the Pats bend-don't-break defensive style. Pats will be happy to let Denver run, and are not going to crowd the line and play a bunch of man-on-man like the Steelers did. Steelers seemed to think Tebow couldn't beat them deep, but he proved them wrong.

Brady claims he was just excited to get a rushing TD because he rarely does it, but that's bull****, he did it last season @ PIT and spiked it with authority right in front of lolSteelerfans after the media talked up the Steelers over the Pats all week. Brady has a chip that will always exist, and I love it.

another reason I love the Saturday night game: not only can you pick off a team on a short week (Denver this year) if you win you get an extra day of rest for the AFCCG (b/c don't they always plit AFC/NFC Divisional playoff games?)

i couldnt disagree more. brady has been the best outdoors qb of the last decade, and is consistently less effected by bad weather than anyone else and its really not close

but take tebow on the other hand, how do you think those 30 yard wobblers are gonna be handled in 14mph winds? theyll have nothing but the run game, and thats not gonna be enough

I think slightly bad to bad weather helps the Pats, and not the QB from Florida who can barely hit the barn on good days.

hurricane weather though is a different story, winds that would completely neutralize Brady (like in 2007 @ NYJ) and turn this into a mud trenches fight would be good for the Broncos

Hey guys, I figure this would be a good place to ask questions.

A couple of friends and I are coming up for Saturday's game. Should we stay in Boston and take the train, or stay close to the stadium in Foxborough?

We aren't rich so saving costs when possible would be ideal. Is there anything to do in Foxborough post game? Or are the parties a lot better in Boston, and it would be worth it to take the train, spend for the more expensive hotels, etc.

Foxboro is like any generic town USA with a football stadium thrown in the middle of it. There is little to be gained by staying there. You could also try looking in Providence .

Also I'm not sure I would expect to do too much after the game. It will be late and it take a looooong time to actually get out of the stadium, to your car, and through traffic. Best bet is really a post game tailgate with your buddies at your car for at least an hour or so

what Kb4Z described is what I generally meant. the worse the weather (as long as winds are involved) the worse it is for pats. if its snowing and no wind, then pats are going to roll.
