As a Jet fan I hope the Dolphins follow Run Ricky Runs advice, resign Chad and bury Henne again. Henne didn't look to bad in the games I saw and Chad is not going to take you where you want to go.

I agree, Henne is our future. Of course he made mistakes, but what QB starting his first season doesn't make mistakes? He showed serious potential and is actually capable of winning games by himself. Pennington would be great as a backup, but he definitely has a ceiling and won't take us on a playoff run.

what pains me is during the draft, I thought Henne was > every other QB. When Miami took it, I was kinda pissed. I think he has a really bright future for him.

Whether Henne busts or not, he's our best option at the moment, NOT Pennington. We should definitely trade Pennington to another team that needs a solid QB and keep Pat White as #2. Despite the fact that no one saw it happen this season, the kid CAN complete passes, just of course nowhere near as well as a starting NFL QB. I've seen highlights of him from college (though they were 75% runs tbh) and he has potential to make big plays, we just didn't get any evidence of that this year. As for Henne, the kid can throw, and he definitely showed amazing accuracy at times. He'll improve, the team will improve, and we'll take back the AFC East in due time.

if we keep thigpen and white then im fine. but we need a real qb like thigpen on the roster in case henne does fail

Would love this pickup. Was very impressed with what he did in Denver, implementing the 3-4 (which the Dolphins prefer), and turning a defense which was historically awful last year into a good, top 10 D this year.

I think that is a good pickup for the dolphins. Although, it is going to be overshadowed by the huge news of CHAN GAILEY TO THE BILLS. lol.

After two weeks leading up to the Superbowl of every sports columnist/announcer reminding us that Drew Brees could've been a Dolphin, now he wins the damn thing and we're gunna have to hear about it for probably another few years.

I remember following the Drew Brees thing really closely on the Dolphins fan forums back in the day. From what I remember Saban really wanted Brees and so did the Phins, but after Brees visited New Orleans he fell in love with the rebuilding efforts and wanted to help the city(I saw a video awhile back and thats what Brees said, it showed him walking through damaged parts and volunteering to rebuild with his wife). Saban even flew to New Orleans to try and talk him out of signing with the Saints and signing with the Fins. He failed and thus they signed Culpepper as a backup plan, but a report surfaced awhile later that it was because he failed the physical and other reports copied that one. Not sure I believe them though, I still think the Fins wanted to sign Brees, but couldn't and that the shoulder thing was BS and everyone quoted that report
