ok thats seriously enough, you guys really suck considering the only bad poster in this thread isnt even here anymore.

in an effort to redirect this thread, ill say a few good things about the dolphins:

sean smith, vontae davis - when will allen went down for the season, i thought this secondary was screwed. it seriously looks like parcells has done some more fantastic drafting; both of these guys are raw, but very very physically gifted. the dolphins are set at this position for years

chad henne - started to play pretty well down the stretch. even managed to get ginn involved. he really started to show the 3 things you value most in a qb: pocket presence, accuracy, and getting red of the ball for quick completions/incomplete passes instead of taking sacks.

ricky williams - hey ill even give some credit to popet/pokerchief/runrickyrun; he said RW was better than ronnie brown the first few months of the season, and i silently laughed to myself. ends up looking like he has indeed been at least as effective if not better. the backups arent bad either, the young guy lex hilliard looks pretty good

the OL is obviously very good. overall id say parcells has again turned around a bad situation, and extremely quickly. he rekindled the rivalry with the jets even more quickly. the patriots might still be the best team in the division this year, but i think theres a good chance one or both of the jets/dolphins overtake them next year, and if not then the next. basically, **** the pats

I'm new to this thread, so idk if draft talk is ok or not, but who do you think the fins should spend their first round pick on? A nose tackle (Dan Williams/Cody) or a LB (McClain/Spikes)

Imo it would be sweet if we could get Dan Williams in rd 1 then Spikes rd 2. Maybe worth it to pick up a WR in rd 2 if there's still a good one on the board.

Spikes, Cody, Dan Williams are all big reaches @ 12, not that I don't think they are good players.

Being a Vol fan as well Dan Williams is really good, but I didn't see him dominating the LOS on defense always like you would want from a DT in college.
He is a good pass rusher, but doesn't really get that push that you would want, he is quick so he can flat out beat the G or C with a little hand swipe and dash to the QB for the sack. However I would have liked to see him push the line more or run the G or C into the QB which I never really saw.

I greatly agree about McClain, he just officially decided to enter the draft and Saban (though Nick is a gigantic douche) had a lot of great things to say about him. The guy has been a beast all year, think he's our man.

Looks like we just fired Paul Pasqualoni. I can't say i'm disappointed. The defense wasn't great this year.

Henne blows. I hope they resign Pennington and have Henne sit another year. They should let the glassman Ronnie Brown go if he is a UFA. Porter should be gone too.

if pennington wants to come back as a backup, that would be even sweeter; but we cannot and should not guarantee penny the fulltime job. if henne fails, he can get it back

8-5 is meaningless. Atleast 3 of the losses were because of him, and the 8 wins were because of the rest of the team. He was 4-33 with 3 picks on passes thrown >21 yards. He is captain dumpoff.

Not really. Pennington was 15-33 last year with 7tds and 3 picks last year with basically the same receiving core.

No idea where you're getting your numbers. If I'm reading things right Henne was 94/172 (55%) with 4 TDs and 8 picks on passes longer than 21 yards. Pennington was 108/157 (69%) with 4 TDs and 5 picks last year. Pennington though, with more total pass attempts, attempted like a third fewer passes more than 30 yards than Henne.

I know it is pretty tough to read charts, but try to go to the category that says by pass thrown: Pass Thrown: 21-30 yds., 31-40, 40+ instead of the category by pass attempt: attempt 21-30, 31+,

Henne's is at the top. It looks like it doesn't include his last couple games.

I don't get the difference, and I don't get why the pass thrown category leaves Henne with more than 100 less passes than he actually attempted.

I think we need to resign Brown even if he is slightly overrated just because he is still really good, and we don't really have a backup plan. (dont feel like drafting one in the 1st 3 rounds) Also, he may be discounted because of the injury even though it is supposed to have no long term effects.
Pennington is a starting QB, let him go to whomever needs him (RAIDERS!!!- playoffs)
As for WRs we got Bess, Hartline, Camarillo who are all pretty good. I guess Turner and Ginn won't be around for too long although I like Ginn if for nothing else he works really hard and could improve a lot. Trade Camarillo for a 5th round pick if we sign Boldin?

Brown is really good? The guy has played 5 seasons and has had 1 1000 yard season (1008). He gets paid like a workhorse, but doesn't produce like one.
