You can't be serious. Henne just had his best game as pro and finally started looking like a Franchise QB, in a game against the Patriots with the season on the line. He came through clutch in the end to win it.

A couple mistakes can be shored up, its still his first season starting.

Pennington was very good in the 2nd game outside of the 2 minute drill @ the end, was good against SD as well.
Pennington's contract is up and will go somewhere he can start next year. Its Henne's 1st year and very few QBs have looked as good as he has in their 1st year as a starter. I mean, he still has flaws (facing the blitz sometimes, holding on to the ball too long), but will get better and obviously is the best qb for this team going forward

Time to make a new account, this one now has no credibility on any topic after this comment

Poker Chief is probably the most negative poster ever, he is a Fins fan, but hates almost everyone on the team. He gets more joy out of the other 31 teams losing than he does his team winning. Henne has weaknesses like just about every qb, but is improving and the thing I love about him is his ability to convert 3rd and long, which Pennington could not do at all

Henne needs to convert 3rd and long because of how ineffective he is on 1st and 2nd. Maybe you should read http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post...y-surprise-you . Henne is 3 of 28 on passes thrown >21 yards. Strong arm, hardly.

do fans of really mediocre teams really go into other threads and troll/mock when they lose?

Regardless of who's being negative, Henne definitely needs to improve his longball accuracy. I'm sure having a deep-threat receiver who didn't drop 1 out of 3 balls that hit his motherf***ing hands would help a bunch.

And as good as he was at times in the Patriots' game, he had a couple overthrows that looked ridiculous. On the final drive, he converted a huge 4th down pass to I believe Bess right after completely overthrowing a receiver (don't remember who it was here either) who was WIDE open near the sideline, not a Patriot uniform in sight. Would've been easily a first down if not a straight touchdown if he hadn't blown it. I have faith in Henne, but he definitely needs to improve.

he missed the FB Politte and then hit Camarillo on the 4th down.
Henne may very well be a really good deep thrower, I have yet to see him miss a guy deep who was open. Dolphins WRs lack speed and size and therefore not really deep threats. They all run really good routes tho.

Ted Ginn is the exception, but he doesn't run the best routes and doesn't really compete for the ball and you need more than speed to be a deep threat (plus I believe he is the #4wr)
Henne was really good in college throwing the deep ball to Braylon and Manningham, he just needs someone who is more of a deep threat.

ya the miami WR's are without a doubt the weakest unit on the team, henne has done pretty decent considering this imo

he was viewed as a project qb anyway, give him some time

Good win today. The Defense played great. the offense sucked. Winning streak.

I will never understand why this team is NEVER able to completely put away an opponent. We were up 14-0 and early in the 2nd quarter and then DIDN'T SCORE ANOTHER POINT. From that early lead we fumbled repeatedly, didn't execute well at all on offense, got a missed FG, got a Henne INT... it was just a nightmare that I'm truly astonished had a happy ending.

Right now my only hopes involve us making the playoffs, but realistically it feels a lot like last year: even if we make it in, despite all the magical wins and close heart-pounding victories, there's no way we can keep it up against really strong teams week-to-week. Last season I didn't mind us getting blown out in the playoffs, because the expectations coming into the season were so low, but this year if we get in and then get thrown out 1st round again I think it'll sting a little more...

I would like this team to resign Ronnie Brown, just so they don't have to go get a really good back in the draft. This team needs one star playmaker be it a safety, lineman, wide receiver or Tight End.
I wouldn't mind us trading up in the draft next year to get that star player has we have a lot of youth depth. Perhaps going after Gresham the TE from Oklahoma would be that playmaking TE we need, however I'm not sure how good of a blocker he is.

Gresham is a decent blocker, obviously he can work on it, but out of the get go he won't be bad. It would also give Henne that large red zone target he needs to develop. The Dolphins wouldn't have to trade up to get him either, unless some times decides they love him early on.

I never meant trade up to get him, just to get a playmaker in general. I would rather us not pick a WR in the 1st round unless he has the potential to be a top 8 WR in the NFL, because although we do not have any star WRs we have a bunch of solid underrated wideouts and getting some decent #1 I don't think would be that much of an upgrade.
edit:
A lot of mocks have us taking Spikes which I wouldn't mind especially if he is good in coverage, 'cause we need a LB that is better in coverage given Crowder's inability to cover anything

I personally would have capitalized "stomp" and not "titans" for effect

oh alright, read your post and thought you would have to trade up for Gresham.

Spikes is a good coverage LBer, and I think he would fit into the Miami defense nicely. He could be the leader of the defense too once dancing machine and trash talker are out of the picture. Roams the middle nicely.

At this point, I see them going defense first. Before Ronnie was out their offense was going much smoother, and when he is healthy it doesn't change. Obviously FA will affect this, but if the draft was tomorrow, Spikes or a dlineman seems like the most obvious

Our defense seems to be finally playing 4 quarters. Holding a solid offense to 10pts after giving up 3 turnovers is really good.

Henne keeps looking good. Big future imo.

Looks like Vince Young might miss the game, or at least be hindered by a muscle sprain. I hate seeing injuries (exception being Brady going down last year... let me just enjoy that for another moment..... man that was great!), but I'll admit I wasn't exactly unhappy to hear about this one. Chris Johnson will definitely be an issue though, guy won't be MVP but he could've been in a different year!
