This is the first year of the league and non of the guys in it have ever played a 2 QB league afaik. 2nd QB is actually a flex so a few guys might not even realize it is in facta a 2 QB setup so I assume even more lol picks.

At what point do you take a 3rd QB? do you ever take one before filling out your entire starting lineup, aside from K/DEF?
I guess Im wondering, is drafting a 3rd QB in say Rd 5 or 6 who is a a starter for his NFL team, more valuable as a future trade piece, than drafting your starting WR3 or TE?
Because I feel like a few starting QBs will slip way waaaaay farther than they should.
I was in a league like this the past two years, and that's what I've tried to do especially when there are no value players on the board or players you are interested in. Say you take 4 top 20 QBs then there are teams that will have to trade you elite RBs and WRs if they want to remain competitive. This strategy is gold only if it's ah active league so keep that in mind

Maybe like rounds 10-11 is when I snag a QB3. Depends on the draft. It is very important to grab a QB3 and even a QB4. In our 10t league, EVERY starter is rostered and even some backups are. So you need to draft at least a QB3 in case of bye/injury.

Need a manager to take over a team, just a free 2+2 keeper that has been running for a while now:

can anyone tell me why doug martin is slipping? he only hurt his shoulder in a fluke injury. didn't look AMAZING but the whole team sucked last year. he was like a top 5 RB last year. would you be comfortable with him as your #1? is he gonna get all the touches?

I probably won't have him on any of my teams. Wouldn't take him in the first. Probably not in the second over an elite WR either. In the third I'd snap him though. People know like a quarter of his rookie production was one game and last year he was a bust until his injury. This is a "prove it year" for me on him. Could def be a ray rice "when he was good type" though.

Yeah all that plus they drafted a RB that may take away some 3rd down/receiving work from him and James was really good after Martin went down so he may get some work too. Also their new OC is supposedly a rbbc proponent.

Bobby Rainey was also pretty good when James went down. I'm happy letting someone else take him for a 1st or mid 2nd. If he slips to the end of the 2nd, I'll take him though

Re 2 QB leagues: I think many of you guys are over-reacting. Go look at the point totals for QBs 4-15. All pretty similar. If you can get an AP/Charles/McCoy in the late first round and then a QB in the 2nd you should really do that IMO. If everyone goes QB in the first 2 rounds, thats 20 QBs gone. So the guy drafting 1st will get the top QB and the top RB. Clearly it's a leak to draft QB in the first two rounds automatically when many of them are so similar.

At least for my draft, Im assuming that most of the league does not adjust properly because none of them have played this structure before, and that I might be able to grab 2 top 5 QBs with my first 2 picks.

Bobby Rainey is great at running the football and catching passes out of the backfield. He's terrible at pass protection though. With them drafting Sims in the third round he's the favorite to be the odd man out.

The point isn't that there are a lot of similar qbs...that I agree with. The point is that even though a lot are similar, there still aren't enough of those guys to go around, even in a 10 teamer.

Like someone was saying earlier once a couple of those guys get injured or are less productive than expected all the sudden Philip Rivers is equivalent in value to AP and those that were ahead of the curve and drafted QB heavy are ahead of the game.

Also in that hypothetical the fact that a team could get the top QB and top RB is offset by the fact that their qb2 would be Ryan Tannehill or something.

That might be true, but QB2 + QB6 >>>>> QB10 + QB20.

Even with the top RB and an awesome receiving corps theres no way to make up that many points if you're late to the QB party imo.
ANd I fully exepct at least a couple teams to go into the draft planning to draft a non-QB to start at flex

lol thats so sick about Doug Martin. He went #1 in any dynasty or keeper league anyone was starting last year. What a waste. I only dodged getting stuck with him by being #2 in my draft.

i think combining charles or mccoy with roeth and rivers would make a pretty formidable team. ofc, last yr forte was going late 2nd, early 3rd so you coulda gone manning, stafford, forte.

for some reason stafford was going late last season and i snagged him a lot of regular leagues in the 9th. in the 2qb he went 2.11 i remember.

in my league 6 qbs went in the first and 7 went in the 2nd. roeth and cutler went early and late 5th. dalton was tremendous value in the early 4th. rivers late 7th was hudge for someone. even palmer in the mid 7th would be very helpful as he put up nice numbers.

waiting on qb is def viable if you hit on em.
