bumgarners stock has dropped drastically this spring. his fastball has dropped a few mph and scouts are not quite as high as they were before. otherwise he would have been my pick.

fwiw Baseball Forecaster has Matusz and Bumgarner as the top 2 pitching prospects this year, at 3, 4 behind Heyward and Jennings.

well those guys aren't considered prospects since they've got all those innings under their belt. I would put both of them behind all the pitchers taken thus far prob.

and yes hellickson was the first undrafted

i am a bit more of a velo whore then a lot of sabermagicians, though not as much as most scouts ldo. madison's velo drop is certainly concerning.
