If people need production, I will send:
Wilin Rosario or Carlos Santana for a mid 1st round pick (or equivalent prospect that I like (top 30 or so))
Jordan Zimmermann for an early 1st round pick (or top 20 prospect) - would do a slightly later pick + another interesting prospect.
Other possible options include: Pujols, Teheran. I suppose I could move Encarnacion, Panda or Rollins, but I'd want a load for them, given the difficulty I'd have in replacing them, and the large difference between their current salary and what they'd go for at auction (for Panda and E5).

That's the plan. Otherwise I wasted like $200 totally blowing up this team haha

I mean, it's not like I can counter it, but those are two really, really good prospects.

FYI that rosters will be locked for each player's individual gametime this season, instead of at the first game of the day.

This had been discussed/approved a long time ago, but it couldn't be changed until the off-season because of espn's site.

It might be a tough deal, cuz I am gonna want rookies or prospects, but I could move 1.2, 1.10 or 2.3 if anyone can think of a good offer..

I still have depth guys - Pierzynski, Danks, Leake and the like available. I could also maybe trade a closer or a starter, but I'd want pretty good value for them. Outfield upgrades/picks/prospects sought.

Here is another proposed rule that never got a final decision. It's for when a high-salaried player gets dropped to waivers:

In the instance an MLB level player making more than the league minimum ($4) is cut mid-season, picked up on waivers by a new team, and retained through the next round of pre-auction active roster cuts: the player’s salary will revert to either his original salary prior to being cut or remain at the winning waiver wire bid – whichever is greater. Yearly salary bump rules still apply.

When it was first brought up, there was a general consensus to implement something like this. The issue is how little should a player's salary be for such a rule to kick in? I think it should be higher than $4, because that would affect way too many waiver pick-ups. Maybe something more like $25 or even $50?

Just wanted to make sure you were aware, but danvh doesn't have pick 3.8, he has picks 3.9 and 3.10. sergsz has 3.8.

I was about to process this and just noticed that.

EDIT: Nevermind, Pecota can't count.

Yes, danvh does have 3.8. I'll process the trade.

If there is a 20 player cap in the minors why would I drop anyone this year? The only thing I can think of is to save $4. Just want to make sure I am not missing something. I am keeping 5 guys regardless fyi.

I guess because there is a 10 player floor, if you thought a player was worse then what you could get in 6th round, then you could drop them.. Otherwise not a lot of reasons to drop imo

RE: rack

Correct. There does seem to be a noticeable uptick in draft pick trades due to the extra roster space though.
