I might hold Gordon if he had a better QB or if your team was worse. I don't think you would start Gordon until he had a good game. Might take 1-2 to get rolling and he's only eligible for 4 FF weeks.

Just got offered Derrick Henry and cousins for juju. Juju can be kept the next 2 years in the 16th and Henry in the 7th. I think I have to snap accept that. That will let me drop Winston too.

Even with juju better keeper rounds Henry > juju, right?

PSA: BAL D is the third average scoring FF Defense, but only 70% owned because they are on bye. Definitely worth stashing as they are @CLE(#2 vs D/ST) week 15 and vs IND (#1) week 16.

points based survivor pool - pick the team, if they win, get the corresponding points. lose and get a strike (X) -- 3 and you're done -- point total freezes but you can't pick any other teams. can only pick each team once

I'm the last row in this sheet, nearly 200 players in the pool, i'm one of 9 that hasn't got a strike yet.

safe play would be to pick detroit this week, but NYJ being worth 30 (detroit 16), is very tempting -- especially since many people in front of me have already picked the jets, and will probably be picking detroit (or the rams, if they haven't picked them yet -- and many have). evans being on suspension makes it doubly tempting -- not sure who else i'd pick NYJ against except maybe HOU now with watson out

Detroit is the better pick obv. Best shot to use NYJ is home in Wk. 16 vs. LAC, or this week, and neither is the easiest pick to make. Everything else on the schedule looks hard.

Best thing to do is lineup your remaining picks (I'm sure you've thought about it), and then post for advice.

week 16: jaguars if not week 11?
week 17: ravens?

Been doing this pool for maybe 6 years now and *typically*, everyone strikes out. Last year, with a smaller pool, 3 people made it to the end with 2 strikes. Point totals 307 / 283 / 276.

So I'm sitting at 188 with 8 weeks to go. To reach 300, I need an average of 14 points per pick.

But agreed, week 16 is the only other time to use the Jets, and it's far from a lay up against the Chargers. Had planned to take the Jags @ SF that week.

So, I could go:

(week 10 / 11 / 16)

Detroit / Jaguars / Jets
or
Jets / Jaguars / ?

Week 11 is tough, there's really no good matchups for me to pick except the Jags. Pretty much have to take them there, and 10 people out of 13 in front of me already picked the Jags. So that should in theory be a good chance to make up ground / put them at risk.

Other week 16 picks would maybe be the Ravens (home vs IND), and uhh .. going to use the Bears week 13 vs SF so they aren't an option .. maybe Carolina at home vs the Bucs, far from a layup..

Might be best to just go safe, pick DET as I assume many others will - might see a bunch of Bears picks at home vs GB. Some people may gamble on taking SF vs NYG, then try to gain ground in week 11 when I can take the Jags and most everyone else can't.

realized I made the HOU picks before Watson injury

so DET / JAX / TEN / CHI / LAC (ugh) / MIN / CAR / BAL would get me to 345, with most of the high point picks earlier (JAX, CHI, LAC), giving me some room to gamble if I start falling back.
