They are work aquaintances. Now that there is no linq poker room, they are excoworkers now.

The vlogs have become less and less interesting.

Trooper with so much free time you need to incorporate more activities.

Nah, it's fine. It's not supposed to be a travelog.

the real question is : how many of you winked back at him...

I'm not a huge fan of the MailTime videos.

I don't find the vlogs less interesting, in general, though. I have really enjoyed the Red Rock ones.

I think the last couple of red rock & bonus whoring videos have been interesting because of the context & timeline of his vlog. When he got to Vegas he looked down at promo-regs and was going to take everybody's money. Now he's looking for his third part time job, been through a stake and is working at meeting hours to qualify for freerolls.

Still likes to down greasy/fatty food before sessions though.

You mean by playing in a free roll he happened to qualify for he is bonus whoring?
08-17-2016 , 07:26 PM
If you don't like the mail time videos then you don't like The Trooper because that is where his personality shines brightest.

Regarding promo-whoring, I'd define rock bottom as waking up early to show up at the casino for a remote chance of winning a free TV. A $300 TV...not sure how much The Trooper expected the TV to be worth but I wouldn't view it any differently if the TV was worth $1000.

I personally don't think there is anything wrong with shooting for promo's. In fact, I think it would be silly for a small stakes grinder to ignore them.

Before he got to Vegas he was thinking of playing at TI because of the pay to play promo there.

In real life people eat crap all the time and a lot of those people make fun of anybody they see eating anything that isn't unhealthy. So it seems kind of weird to me to see people criticizing his diet even though I agree it is unhealthy.

Promos bring the fish. Those are the games you want to be in. It's so much easier to narrow someone's range when you know half the table is shooting for a promo qualifying hand.

If someone is serious about profiting off of freerolls then they will need to have a sleep schedule that gets them to wake up early and go to sleep early. Playing early in the day in rooms with freerolls and sleeping at night when the games are better doesn't sound +EV to me. I'm not sure if it's worth it.

The equity you have in these promos prolly isnt worth the car devaluation / gas but if you're going to play there anyway/ think it's a good game go for it. In my experience I don't think the best games revolve around promos though

A $2000 downswing will get you thinking of promos more. You don't think of them when you are raking in the money.

I'm not making fun of him and I'm not criticizing his health. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If I ate those meals I couldn't concentrate properly for a couple of hours. I used to go to the mall food court for lunch, eat crap like that and couldn't concentrate on work until 3:30/4:00. By about 1:45 I was drinking coffee just hoping to rejuvenate myself and that only made things worse because it just fills your stomach more fluid.

I disagree with pretty much everything you have ever said in this thread.

Mail time is meh. It breaks it up a bit. I like that he's gone to Red Rock. Why not try South Point as well? Or head to the Commerce/Bike and fire it up over there? Even Casino AZ Talking Stick would be a fun trip.

He could try another poll on where to play. And he doesn't have to play in the room the next day. If it isn't busy or he isn't in the mood he could do it in the next 3 days or something like that.

I wonder how many hours he has at Mirage and other MGM properties because he needs 75 hours to get free parking next year.

He should go to Macau and Phillipines and also travel Europe playing all those casinos. I've heard Monaco is lovely. He should go to Australia too. I've heard the action is good there.
