Cheque you'd still have to wait to deposit it, dunno if I'd want to carry all that cash.

What are options?
Find a trade where you give someone your USD and they give you BTC or some other form of "online" money (could even be a bank transfer, zelle, skrill, etc).

there's times when people were not breaking the law but for whatever reason were unable to provide sufficient proof to reclaim their money that's been highlighted widely in the news - it's nearly always people suspected of being drug dealers and just like every "zomg pokerstars unjustly banned my account and seized my funds" thread here, the narrator is wholly unreliable and rarely being 100% honest

having played in vegas you would easily be able to provide sufficient proof you're not going to buy drugs with the money nor that you got the money from selling drugs

but really, this

Apologies if this has been discussed. I did a search and found nothing.

I was hoping to order groceries and supplies including alcohol, both wine and hard liquor using curbside pick near the airport (Harry Reid) and pick them up on the way to Vdara. My go to is VONs but none of the ones near the airport seem to offer pickup on their website. The closest one is in Henderson and a little bit out of the way. I am in a bit of a time crunch since I don't land until 6:20 PM and have a show at 9 PM. Was hoping I could order most of what I need and just hop in the store quickly for some other stuff.

Has anyone ever did this and know anywhere I could accomplish this?

Thanks to all the contributors on this forum. You really are very helpful.

Most walmarts and Smith's (kroger) markets have a drive up service... you need a vehicle though to drive up to the store and they bring out to you properly sorted. if you're talking delivery, I think that is not a store based service but I have seen an alcohol delivery service here in Vegas, but I cant remember the name of that service.

There is also a Total Wine directly near the south east side of the airport.

There is a walmart directly near the east side of the airport, Smith's are everywhere.

Hey guys. I'm new to the forum. I live in Los Angeles and used to play poker frequently but haven't done so in years. I will be in Vegas on 7/6-7/10, my first Vegas trip in 10 years. Was gonna go with a few friends, but they all canceled last minute so it will be a solo trip.

Since it's not a long trip, I won't be able to play in any WSOP events. Gonna play venetian $1,100 buy-in deepstack, some cash games. Other than that, nothing planned. Any advice on things to do such as activities, restaurants, etc.?

Thanks.

Welcome to 2P2!

First suggestion is to browse other recent posts/threads in Las Vegas Lifestyle. You'll see lots of random info about everything Vegas. Also try the Advanced Search.

After that, maybe share a few more details about your interests and preferences. Your OP was pretty open-ended, and there is almost literally everything to do in Vegas in terms of activities, food, gambling, nightlife, etc.

If you're 24, single, and looking to party, the responses will be very different than if you're happily married with 3 kids, a vegan, and a recovering alcoholic.

Staying on the strip? Downtown? Off-Strip?
Do you have access to a car?
Do you like live music? Comedy? Magic? Strip Clubs?
Are you a fan of pit games, slots, and/or sports betting, or just there for the poker?

In the unlikely event anyone is seeking similar info, the wired connection has been working fine although depending on the room configuration, you may have to hunt around to find it (I had to pull out the fridge, which, ew).

Or maybe not? We heard 2 loud bangs and people from Drais came running out. Sounds like multiple casinos reported an active shooter, but there wasn't one. Odd.

Like I said, we heard 2 loud bangs, people came running out of Drais, and everyone ducked under the tables. A friend was playing in an event at Paris and had a similar experience. It sounds like people are blaming it on a broken glass door at MGM, but that's a far cascading effect and doesn't explain people hearing gun shot type noises at other properties. I personally didn't think it sounded loud enough to be a gun shot, but if it didn't happen on the casino floor it was definitely possible. Still scary even if it was a false alarm.

Went to Absinthe last night and it was very good. At least half of the acts were different from last summer.

Similar things have happened at other events. I've read Twitter threads where people remember hearing what they thought were gunshots at other properties during the Mandalay Bay shooting.

People are primed to expect gun violence and their brains interpret many loud noises as possible gunfire.

Although if it was involving Drai's it could've been an entirely separate and more probable chance of being a shooting... would not be the first time at good ol Drai's.

Does anybody know how comps work for both MGM and Caesars? In May I was able to get a comp room for both Aria (3 nights) and Paris (2 nights). But looking now, I dont see comps at the higher end casinos like I did earlier this year. I know gambling is a big part of it, and I did gamble about what I did the time before (but maybe it wasnt as much as I thought).

Does the no cap game at the Wynn run all the time or no?

There's no 5/10 game that runs all the time in Vegas.

Are there any regular Big O games in Vegas?

Has anyone stayed at the Excalibur in the past 1-2 years? If so how was it? I am looking at dates in October on Mlife and all properties are quite expensive, even for my offer, while I can stay at Excalibur for free. Worth it or should I just pass?

Yes, Aria and Wynn almost always has Big O. Cesars also has them but only occasionally. Maybe some off strip locations as well, dunno.

I would definitely snap call on the Excalibur if its actually free (meaning no resort fees) and just completely free. Haven't stayed at Excalibur before but i cant imagine it being that much worse than say Harrah's, Linq, Flamingo, base rooms. Unless you are used to staying/expecting Wynn type service and quality then i don't really see why not.

I dont mind if it is basic as long as it is clean. And yes, it is completely free, I skip resort fees as an Mlife Gold member and have to pay some ridiculous amount of $11 per night for 10 nights but I get $250 free play + $250 resort credits. All the other properties are very expensive for that time period which is the only reason I am even considering it.

At least book it. You can always cancel it if any of the better properties come down.
