Not even really sure what I am asking, but is there a casino somewhere that has its own style?
Probably get some heat for this comment.

Circus circus is very different. It has a circus midway and live circus performances once an hour. Some of them are pretty good. Also has a good indoor theme park. Home of the El loco rollercoaster. Usually has a bunch of kids running around. Not for everyone, but definitely fits the category of different

I just meant getting to the strip basically - just wanted to know if there were any type of traffic issues with so many hotel/casino employees working nights.

I think the new Resorts World casino has a different feel than the others. Definitely interesting to walk through and check out at least once.

Tuscany Suites is different - kind of a small town casino feel, quieter than the strip casinos

Regarding having multiple reservations at Caesars property...

You will need to reserve over the phone if you want to book 2 separate times with less than 3 days in between. For example, you want to book 6.1 to 6.2 for a 1 night stay and 6.5 to 6.6, then you can book both online. If the gap is shorter, you will need to make the second reservation over the phone.

Also, if you already have multiple reservations over some threshold, you will need to book over the phone. I'm not sure what this threshold is.

Your first reservation will be at the best online rate. Sometimes I can put in a promo code to get a better deal. But lately I can't seem to use any, online or over the phone.

If you have to call for the second reservation, note the best rates when you are logged in and logged out.

I let them know of the best rate that i see. But they generally quote rates a bit higher than my logged in rates. I generally accept their rates as it's usually not much higher than what I see. And lower than the logged out rates. But feel free to negotiate.

I've even had 2 reservations on the same dates at 2 different properties. One with the best logged in rates and the other which was slightly higher.

Any other pro tips? Thanks!

My home casino recently updated their Bravo app to allow for signing up for games through the app. Any rooms in Vegas do this or is it still best to just call in?

South Point is the only one that I'm aware of that is using this functionality in Bravo. In the app you should see the letters "WL" next to the cardroom name where the are allowing waiting list signups through the app.

newbie/dummy transportation question:
my wife is making an overnight stop in Las Vegas, taking my 3 beautiful (but young) children.
To take taxi, is the fare per person (x4) or per trip? is that different with Uber/Lyft?

what should she expect and what's the best option?
airport to Mirage (and returning)

Taxi/Uber is per trip. There are larger options like UberXL and taxi vans that are more expensive though.

One adult plus 3 car seats should fit in a regular taxi though and all regular cars mid-size and larger. Unsuccessfully tried to put 3 car seats in a Mazda3 in the past.

thanks for the response to my embarrassing question. I realized I've never traveled and taxi'd with other people before. my kids are big enough not to need car seats

No and maybe(but odds of getting one to fill outside of WSOP are probably slim)

Coming for 10 days in mid-June. Hoping to book a couple of nice dinners but the fine dining thread looks a little quiet so I thought I would ask here. I haven't been to Vegas in a few years and it looks like some of the places we used to like no longer exist! Questions for you smart folks:

1) Any suggestions for a nice experience with amazing food? Willing to spend $100-200 per person.
2) Any suggestions for say, the $50-100 tier?
3) Will I need reservations far in advance? I have the first 5 days of the trip solo for poker - would that be enough time to make resos for when the bigger group (4 total) arrives a few days later? Or should I be looking now?

Thanks!

Does any one know what the current tier credit rates are at Caesars palace for 1/3, 2/5, and 5/T?

Check out the causal and fine dinning threads in this forum. For a fun experience in the $100+ range is the Top of the World at the Strat. Pretty good food, good service, a great view, and a free ride to the top with a reservation.

Is there a schedule for when MGM has event parking for some of their parking garages? Last time my friend wanted to go to a restaurant in the Mandalay Bay shops we went to park and found out there was a concert going on and it was $30 parking with no minimum free time. Is there some way to know ahead of time when that's going to be the case?

My guess is that a non-busy room like Sahara might be open to negotiating.

Also I think google “eater Las Vegas” and you’ll see a few articles with a really good range of restaurants. We can quibble about including this and excluding that but generally I find it a decent list (eater38) and articles.

Trying to work out WSOP logistics. Questions (TYVM):
1) What's the current status on free parking on the strip? Is PHo still free? Any others? I have some points from ages ago but I guess they all expired or don't help me anyways
2) Thinking about booking an AirBNB in MGM signature. Am I correct that this is walkable to the series and surrounds? Shouldn't be more than 20-25 mins to Paris right? I actually stayed there and walked that before but only remember vaguely. I guess this question is more like for Europeans and others, I understand Muricans wouldn't walk that for the most part. IIRC it was fairly safe though, only a short distance off-strip and that is right next to the hotel entrance.
If it matters I won't stay at the series all the time, will play some but looking mostly to play cash at the event and around town evenings/nights.
Thanks for any input

Stayed at MGM Signature in March 2019 - great rooms fwiw.

My suggestion is to take the Monorail (which is a very short walk from Signature) over to Ballys (first stop). Granted it costs some money, but if you can afford to travel halfway around the world and play WSOP I assume this is not a huge issue

https://www.lvmonorail.com/

Just buy a weekly pass and use it for your travel to Ballys. After you have bagged & tagged the monorail have stopped running for the night, so by then you would need to walk back to the hotel.

It is certainly walkable in normal times, but with Vegas summer temperatures you are gonna be drenched in sweat if walking mid-day. Would estimate walk to be around 20 minutes from room to Ballys, maybe a bit more (depending on your speed).

If you're used to walking a couple minutes, it shouldn't be an issue at all. Pretty sure you can take Audrie St. to get to the back of the events center?

I've probably walked >100 times from MGM Signature to the Bellagio poker room wich looks like a significantly longer walk. Not super pleasant in the afternoon heat during the summer, but definitely manageable. If you want to go anywhere North on the Strip, you can walk through the Miracle Mile Shops and Planet Hollywood to stay out of the sun. Going South, you can take the indoor walkway to the MGM Grand and from there all the way to the corner of Tropicana and LVB.

If you're a decently fast walker, you get to the Venetian in 20-25 minutes.

No to PH. I think your free parking is down to Tropicana, Treasure Island, Venetian, and everything north of the latter two.
