has anyone tried to sleep in a Car in Vegas as their "Hotel" ?

and what parking spots or casino lots and garages would you recommend

i seem to recall someone mentioning the Mirage (not sure where)

as a good safe place to park and sleep ?

I'm going to the Mandalay Spa in a suit and tie under the guise that I'm a higher up at the Mandalay Bay, and tell the staff to watch for freeloading douchebags who try to sleep there.

Oh ok I thought it would be closed to guests from like 6pm to 4am. 1 to 2 hours is nothing to worry about.

Thinking about getting a spa package as a gift.
Will most likely be at the Red Rock.
Does anyone have (or on behalf of a sig. other) reviews of the Red Rock or suggestions on another good spa? (want to stay with strip / resort properties)

Would avoid Mandalay Bay. Too crowded with people that sleep there in the comfy chairs and drink free juice.

Do hotels have the ability to hold your bags for you since you checked out of your room at like noon? trying to figure our flight schedule

whats the fastest/cheapest (mutually exclusive?) way to get from midstrip (ie ballys) to
1)the north end (ie sahara)
2) the south end (ie: MGM)
3) downtown (is downtown worth visiting for a first timer to vegas?)

or.. roughly how long would be the walk for 1 and 2 (in the winter, so i assume heat wont be a factor)

Fastest way to MGM is prolly walking, 5-10mins depending on your speed and how crowded the strip is. Walking to Sahara is at least 30mins, if you're not super fast.

Fastest way to Sahara and Downtown, which is the same direction, is car/taxi. "The Deuce" bus is a cheaper (and way slower) alternative. Drives directly from the Strip to Freemont Street, but is super slow between MGM and Venetian.

Remember that the ace bus travels on the same route on the strip but does not stop between mandalay(I think) and bellagio, nor between bellagio and fashion show. Also has fewer stops between fashion show and downtown, but I don't know them off the top of my head. Info on times should be online

Any idea as to the cheapest place to rent a car while staying at the strip? I hear that we should stay away from renting at the airport since there are alot of fees associated with it, but when I search various sites (ie: hotwire, orbitz) it only gives me airport locations. Would be nice to have somewhere within 1-2 miles (within 20 min walk)
