Sounds like fun! I fly home from a gig late on the 24th so unless something happens and I am diverted to another gig I can make it on the 25th.

Cheers,
Mike

Hey 2p2 Vegas Connoisseurs - i'm looking for a little networking help that isnt poker related:
Does anyone know folks in the nightlife industry in vegas, speicifcally the club After? i'm looking to get in touch w/ their booking/management for some east coast DJs including myself and some names bigger than me. Sorry i have zero contacts in vegas (well, a few but they had no clue)

MODS - would it possible to make an individual thread w/ this request/question?

Nitty comp/food question I asked elsewhere and didn't get an answer:

Do comps earned at poker tables have an expiration? Could I run up $100 at bellagio and use it my next trip?

Also, are there certain places in a given property that the comps don't apply to? Say I earn some table $ at a CET room, can I use them to eat at mon ami gabi?

Can the money be used for anything else?

MGM properly knowledge only

Poker comps never expire

Poker comps only work in the specific casino you play in

Ie. can't use aria comps to eat at MGM

I thought CET comps worked across casinos?

Comps for food only, right?

CET comps work at all CET properties and can be used for anything. They are treated the same as comps from tables/slots. They are just general rewards credits on your account that can be spent anywhere.

MGM comps work as Starberry said, and I believe they can only be used for food.

Other casinos' policies will vary.

I've played pit games only at Mirage/B when I have played pit games. Haven't been 21 for a year yet, but the last few trips i've went on my average bet is ~250. I didn't get comped rooms for the first couple trips but the last 2 I did (after just emailing a random host). It seems like a hassle for them to give me a room, they want 4/hrs a day at 100 a hand, my last trip (2 days) i did 6 hours total at 230.

A friend of mine has probably 150/hand average and has lost 20k or so over his past 5 trips and they don't even offer him anything.

Seems kind of ridiculous. Thinking about switching and playing at Cosmo, just don't want to gamble somewhere where they don't appreciate my business.

Using the TR Visa at least once every six months keeps all comps intact, right?

The WSOP Seniors event is supposed to be a three-day event but does anyone know how long last year's lasted?

Last edited by Doc T River; 03-18-2014 at 01:51 PM. Reason: Although it will probably be a three hour event for me.

Going on a trip this week with a few buddies to Vegas and we are looking for some recommendations.

What are the best bars/lounges, especially for a younger crowd (22-28)? (read: where will the Spring Breakers, like ourselves, be drinking?)

Best clubs?

Any other advice/recommendations on what to do/what to avoid?

what about the daily tournaments?

It just blows my mind that a tournament with 4,000 plus people could be over in three days especially when it involves seniors who might want/need nap breaks.

Hmmm do CET points really expire or only if you stop earning them?

Or only poker ones which may be the same now

OK, pinball museum was a solid call.

I played pinball machines from the 60s, 70s, and one from the 80s called Bad Cats where the cats meow at you. Thanks for convincing me to go!
