Ok. While I was also wondering in a general sense, specifically I had the Bill Burr show at The Mirage in 2 weeks in mind. Is that an eligible show?

No. Hopefully, a local will know if the Bill Burr show has same-day discounted tickets available.

Hey, where would be a good place to watch USA World Cup matches in town, preferably somewhere in the west/northwest?

Red Rock has a sports book, right? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If it was good and fun they probably took it out. Obviously there must have been a money reason for it, but I was totally shocked to find that they are down to one craps table. Both tables were consistently packed full 80% of the time.

A couple non-casino options ... AO Las Vegas will be at McMullan's Irish Pub - it's right by the Orleans Casino. This would likely be the best place if you are looking for as pro-U.S. an environment as possible. Also, I have heard good things about the Crown & Anchor, just southeast of UNLV.

Here are a couple links that talk about places to watch World Cup games in Vegas: http://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/...-cup-las-vegas and http://linemakers.sportingnews.com/s...lans-irish-pub.

I presume Off The Strip in Southern Highlands will be showing the majority of the games. I can ask the owner later, he was a legit soccer player in his younger days and is big into it

so i'm gonna be a vegas first timer in october for a bachelor party.

kinda helping plan it, but i dont want to spam this topic with a whole bunch of questions that might have been covered a good bit over 10k posts.

if any vegas experts wouldn't mind shooting me a PM, i just wanna bounce some ideas and ask a few questions from someone who knows the ropes. would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I used MGM meaning properties owned by MGM Resorts International.

But I don't think it was the MGM Resort and Casino.

Once we got the hang of it, it was a pretty fun time killer for the wife and I.

Googling the words greyhound racing casino shows me that Monte Carlo had one back in 2012 so that is probably where we played it. I have no idea if they still have it.

For less than the cost of a round-trip taxi ride you can rent a car.

If he's just going to be using it to go to the strip clubs than it isn't worth it. Possibly if he's sober going there and back but who the hell does that?

Makes perfect sense. They used to have a strip shuttle that costs a few bucks but not sure if it still exists. Call and ask. BTW - most strip clubs offer free limo service, not factoring in the tip and cover charge.

yeah i have done far too many of the strip club limo/SUVs. Im not sure if they would pick up all the way at SP though?

I think since I will be stuck at SP I will probably try and exercise / eat well / etc then tack on a few days mid strip for an absolute **** show (staying at SP due to a work conference being there Monday-Wednesday. So being around work people I also try to keep it around .12 BAC)

Appreciate the info guys. I will call on the strip ****tle and post results here in case it comes up again. Not sure why I would be cool for a $5 shuttle but Im opposed to riding a bus.

Take the rent-a-car shuttle from the airport. Take the #117 city bus ($3) from the stop on Gilespie St. in front of the rent-a-car center, it will take you to the front door of South Point. South Point has free shuttles to the Strip.

It's about $17 from the taxi stand at the rent-a-car center to South Point if you'd rather cab it.
