mgm for 8 days - whats my play with the $20 trick.

got a regular room so should I aim to get a higher strip view of a reg room or should I aim for the west wing?

As I'm staying for longer reckon I would need to bump it up to 40/50? Or does that amount stand me a chance of getting something better?

also - my flight won't land until about 6:30 iirc. will this affect my chances?

I'd rank them as:
1. O (only because you've already seen Love, and shouldn't have to martyr yourself)
2. Love
3. Ka
4. Mystere (but probably the least expensive option)

You may also want to consider Terry Fator.

Looks like less than 50% -- http://www.thetwentydollartrick.com/.../MGMGrand.html

For 8 days, I'd be willing to try a single $50 note. Good luck!

Try 50$ if for more than a week.
You can change your room during the trip. Go to the front desk on a Tuesday at 10:00am when they are slow and bored.

thanks for the feedback, from reviews it seems Ka and Mystere are pretty close, but just depends on personal preference which one is better.

Might check out Terry Fator, appreciate the recommendation. I looked him up (had never heard of him) and it sounds appealing.

Checking into Aria tonight, going to try $20 trick...have heard very mixed results, will provide TR later. Is it worth trying to do $40? Or is it if $20 isn't going to work $40 won't either? I figure with the holiday weekend + new/nicer hotel it might not be a bad idea, but I don't have much experience with it as I've only done it once before.

If you are only seeing one and you like Cirque (or are open to Cirque), O is definitely the one. I would see Terry Fator every time I go to Vegas. His show is amazing.

Not to muddy the water too much but I've seen all those shows plus La Nouba in Orlando and Le Reve at Wynn and Mystere is the best show imo. Ka prob has the best theater and really good music (but they all have really good music) and O involves water (as does Le Reve) but imo CDS is about bodies flying all over the place with some good music and humor thrown in and Mystere delivers (and La Nouba is VERY strong in this respect as well, but that's in the kiddie playground).

Also consider this, your first CDS show will 'wow' you more than most subsequent shows just because it's your first CDS show. Also, these shows are a bit variable.

The Wynn buffet is quite nice and I believe they will add unlimited champagne, mimosa, or bloody marys for something like an extra $7 per person. Looking forward to other suggestions but I think you could do a lot worse.

I went to the Bellini Brunch buffet at Silverton last weekend. Holy cow. There were 4 of us using 2 BOGO coupons from the ACG (which everyone should get, btw, even if just for the match play), so it worked out to $9 each. Unlimited bellinis (of several flavors -- not just peach) and a very solid buffet. Does not compare -- in size -- to the better strip buffets, but the food was pretty good, and for the price, it was unbeatable. Plates upon plates of steamed crab legs, too. And man did we drink a lot of Bellinis. Thank god we brought a DD...

Again, I'd never suggest this as 'fine dining', but if you like getting off strip, and especially with the BOGO, this is a great value. Much better than the weaker strip buffets (we unanimously chose this for brunch over harrahs and TI, but the booze might have played a part).

Ha, I grew up in Arizona. Knocking your shoes and shaking them out is just part of putting them on.

They like dark secluded undisturbed spaces. That's rare indoors. Finding them in woodpiles, corners of a garage, etc is fairly common.

It's my last night in Vegas and everyone in the house where I am stay are planning a dinner out. I was wondering what the best most reasonably priced steak and seafood $30 restaurant would be. Yes I am going through the fine dinning thread but most seem a bit out of the price range.
