Just so you don't get the idea that it's right on the strip. And getting to an from is a pain in the ass unless you hire a car service.
Ya, I've been out there for kart races. It took me about 40 minutes in my car and traffic was relatively light.

Thanks for confirming. This is what I've heard, but was hoping they were exaggerating. I'm looking into renting a either a school bus, coach bus, or double-decker.

Any thoughts on if we'll pass out from heat on a regular bus at 5 pm?

Really depends where you are. There are a ton of big, near-identical multiplexes in Vegas and no one theatre where you "must" see a movie because of the experience. So it doesn't matter much. The newer ones (Regal @ Red Rock, Rave @ Town Square) will probably be the cleanest and shiniest but it's not like those or any other have any real soul. If you're on the strip and want convenience, go to either Brenden @ Palms, Rave or the Century @ Orleans. Skip that dump down by MGM Grand.

And yes, I'm a movie theatre snob.

Which casinos still offer 3/2 payout on blackjack? Instead of someone naming a list of casinos that do...I'll ask about a few: The Venetian? The Bellagio? The Wynn? Mostly curious about strip casinos here.

Which casinos have capped buyin $2/$5 $500 Max NL and $5/$10 $1000 Max NL games? I've gotten the vibe that most of the $2/$5 NL games in Vegas have no max buyin.

I'm planning on eating 1, possibly 2 nice meals on a 4 day trip...I think I've pretty much convinced myself that I'd like to give Nine a try, but am open to recommendations of other steakhouses. I've never had Kobe or Wagyu beef and would like to give it a try. The other places I'm considering are Nobu, Tao. Any thoughts appreciated.

Also has anyone been to Mesa Grill? I see that's Bobby Flay's spot and the stuff he cooks on TV always looks amazing...

EDIT: I just looked at the menu, looks a little unexciting...still any thoughts appreciated.

i think it's pretty good but it gets bad reviews from the vegas food critic. it's probably a bit overpriced but not a bad place for lunch or dinner

Went for lunch, it was tasty, I also had a hard time finding something on the menu to order, ended up with some fish dish that's no longer on their lunch menu as far as I can tell, it was very good. Also had the goat cheese dip because the waiter recommended it, and it was very good. Lady friend got the burger, served with very spicy mustard on the side, it was good but nothing where I'd tell anyone you have to go have this 16$ burger or whatever.

Good to check. If there is a disreputable grandfather clock repairman, he probably lives in Vegas.

I know who knows one...the Dad who owns the LV pawn shop in the Cable TV series. They have clocks in there all the time to be reviewed including an "ATMOS" clock that runs off of changes in atmospheric pressure. I inherited one of those. The experts he uses have been pretty good.

Personally, I like the food there a lot. But I do understand that for a lot of people his food isn't everyone's cup o' tea. I've found it easier to please a group by eating there for lunch/brunch or grabbing small portions at the bar. The margarita options there are truly phenomenal. The waitstaff is good, knowledgeable about the food, and helpful. Separate dessert chef and the desserts have always rocked. Try a premium mezcal to sip with your coffee and dessert.

I was wondering where is the cheapest place to book a helicopher trip to Grand Canyon. I want one which stops (not flight only) but no other frills really.

I noticed it was around $400 via a quick google search and I was wondering how I could go about getting the best price?

Book before I go? Wait until I get there before I book?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Every place does, it just won't be on every table. Single-deck is almost always 6:5, shoes are 3:2.

I've been a few times. It's just OK, nothing worth thinking about too much. It's fairly ordinary. And it may be Bobby Flay's spot, but all that necessarily means these days is his name on the door and the occasional visit. He ain't the one cooking your steak.

2/5 has a cap everywhere... wynn is $1500, V is $1000, Bellagio is $500. At 5/10 Bellagio is $1500 but V and Wynn have no cap. Expect to sit with $3K min.

Noodles at Bellagio is my favorite Asian place to eat. Nothing too special but its really good. For steak try Cut.

I haven't set foot in Caesars in at least a year, but last I knew the 2/5 was uncapped there. Bellagio is the only major venue I can think of where 2/5 is still capped at $500.

Quick question:
I plan on staying at the V and at the Aria, both with the Poker Room Rate. Question: Even though I have the PRR, can I still try the 20$ Trick and get an (even better) upgrade? Or will this mess up my whole Room Rate or something?

I came across this website: http://www.clubvivalasvegas.com

They sell packages including limo-service, club entrance, drinks and stuff. Looks like thats perfect if you go out clubbing with a few guys since most packages are for 4 people minimum.

I will be in LV this october and I am looking for a service like this which sells packages for couples including limo-service, a nice dinner, champagne, club entrance etc. Can anyone recommend something like that?

Well that could be about anywhere that you like the atmosphere of. There will always be one or two $5 or $10 tables at even the nicest joints during prime times, but obviously work backwards from "nicest" and "prime times" and the availability will increase.
