That wasn't bad he had the NFD and all in for about 2k

The bigger issue is being told not to film but continues later anyway.

Under cutting Trooper by 33%! Verbal jabs might sting the ego a bit but hitting his wallet/business is a real kick in the nuts!

Thank you! Why don't the white knights understand this? We are watching an entertainment show. Part of the entertainment is laughing at the characters when they do funny things. Sometimes (in Trooper's case often), the joke is on the character himself. So we talk about and laugh at what he is doing.

We don't do this for any other reason but entertainment...sometimes to exchange ideas with others. There doesn't have to be a super complex psychoanalysis on why people watch stuff and then talk about it.

I think it's interesting that people find others psychoanalyzing a vlog character so disturbing that they need to psychoanalyze said people without seeing the irony in what they are doing.

I grinded my way into a great job and I now work for a partner agency in Washington DC so I'm in the process of wrapping up my move from Vegas. I haven't decided if I'm going to vlog or blog the move in LVL. I'm tied to a CPU for work the majority of the week so it wouldn't be hard to vlog it, just very time consuming. I'll most likely make an LVL real time trip report when I'm back there in about 2 weeks.

It baffles me that more people can't be objective without being irrational. While mrducks can be a bit over critical, I feel he always makes a lot of rock solid points based in fact and logic. I enjoy this circus of a thread more than most vlogs TBH. For the better part of a year I've only watched Boski and Neeme unless there's banter of a must see vlog from one of the others.

Peace!
That's very true. I used to be a Trooper fan and wanted to see him succeed because I succeeded in a similar way and wanted to see a real life vlog where someone documents themselves going thru the path that I went thru.

I wanted a public story that proves that it is possible to pick an unconventional lifestyle (poker) and find success when most people don't believe it is possible or doable.

Then Trooper went off the deep end, did everything stupid that one could do (almost), and just made poker players look like idiot/buffoons. That pissed me off. Then he kept doubling down on doing rude things, saying offensive things against lots of different groups, and attacking good people like PokerKraut. All the while blaming everyone else in the world and never himself.

He pretty much showed the WORST side of the poker player stereotype. So I started to dislike him and hoped that he would fail to the point of ending his vlog and having people forget about him "representing" poker players.

Then Neeme came along and really showed the positive side of the poker community.

That's why I'm probably so critical of Trooper. Looking at him objectively, this diet thing could really be a HUGE milestone in his recent life. It's really a win-win for him. If the diet catches on with mainstream Youtube, his channel could start growing again and maybe even hit 50K or more (this is huge for him after his growth STOPPED COMPLETELY.)

If the channel doesn't grow, then he's just much healthier and lives a better and probably longer life.

So even though he is only 4 days in, I really hope he keeps this going, gets down to 165-175lbs, and just becomes a more positive and happy person. It's a long shot, but maybe this is the beginning of something great for Tim Watts.

God speed Timmy!

They don't have the same customers. Boski doesn't have Go Gamble on those hats.

I don't know about that, there's plenty of shallow people on here who would spend $20 thinking it's funny.

This is likely the highlight of an upcoming Vegas trip for some. Can't wait to get one of those hats and rock it walking the strip, only to be super disappointed when not one person comments on the hat.

Later, in their room, they wonder to themselves how not one person of thousands gave them the attention they deserve for such an awesome hat. Finally they decide that the Vegas crowd just doesn't get it and they need to move up in levels where people respect their raises.

'Phony' as you think he made up the hand or 'Phony" as in something else?

It seemed legit to me. He wanted to reduce variance, as if he lost the entire pot, he would have lost most of his bankroll he had at Bay 101, that night.

Personally, I always 'run it once'..my reasoning is variance will even out in the long run anyways, and if you always run it once you never have to kick yourself for running it twice after bad results.

That's not how trademark law works. It makes things significantly easier with a registered trademark to protect your ip, but in this case Trooper would be able to very easily establish that he was first to use the mark in commerce.

True, but I bet there is at least one regular viewer/fan of Troopers that is a lawyer that would probably help him out with some legal advice regarding the matter.... that or they may just ship him another $25 starbucks card.

Don't overlook Tim's litigiousness.

I represented Tim once before, years ago, in an action styled Watts, et al. v. Del Taco, Inc., No. 15-cv-07056 (D. Nev.). The lawsuit arose after Tim went through the drive through, ordered two Del Taco (Soft) and Street Tacos and drove away, only to find his bag contained Street Tacos and a lone Del Taco (Crunchy). We filed as a putative class action alleging the company's pattern and practice of negligent fulfillment of drive-through orders. The case settled early. Class relief included coupon booklets for free tacos and soft drinks (and I got a hefty plaintiffs' attorneys fee award).

Although I have not been recently approached by Tim, I'd be willing to represent him in connection with any affirmative IP claims he is inclined to bring. Again, I have not been approached on this potential matter, let alone retained...

Phony as in fake. He isn’t the same person in real life.
The run it once hand had too much explaining for my own good. He didn’t need to go into all that bs nonsense. He is nice to trooper97 around him and then makes fun of him behind his back.
He is a big front who is trying way too hard to be something he is not.

Only ever watched one of Brad's videos and he came accross as a decent fella. What's he like in real life and where have you met him?

Did Jaman take a friendly jab at Trooper at the 7:24 mark in his latest video that came out today? I honestly don't know if it was a reference to Trooper or just poker players in general. It definitely applies to Trooper!

Jaman still has the best in hand graphics of any poker player for the record. He doesn't explain every hand but you can easily follow along. I like this a lot.

They're good friends.

And for the record JohnnieVibes has the best hand analysis graphics by far.

I don't think it was a jab, per se, but he was definitely referring to Trooper "I lost $_____, but the game was good"..
