I wouldn't recommend or keeping large amounts of money on any site, but the risk/reward for me favors playing some versus not playing at all. Playing online helps my live game a lot because I can't play at a casino every day due to geographical distance. I also can win a reasonable amount of extra cash playing a game I enjoy. I played at Stars and Tilt before Black Friday and got paid my balance at both. I have played at Carbon, Ignition, ACR, and Global after Black Friday and so far (knock on wood) have been paid anytime I've requested a withdrawal and many other players can attest to that as well. I thankfully never got involved with Ultimate Bet or Lock Poker because they seemed shady.

That's why a poker community is so valuable so that we all work together to keep sites as honest as we can. When someone legitimately gets out of line WITH PROOF (not, I always get muh aces cracked on JokerStars), we can pool our resources to get to the bottom of it. The same is true with live poker, too.

Wake up on the wrong side of the bed today buddy? Just because someone doesn't have as many subs as Andrew Neeme, doesn't mean we can't be a fan of their vlog.

Also, Jaman works a full time job. Anything he makes in poker is gravy.

Let's not forget that it was the DOJ, overseen by the Obama regime that pulled the plug on online poker.

This is completely untrue. You can absolutely get a job at a Caesars property with an arrest record. As far as misdemeanors go the only automatic rejections are for theft/fraud or gaming related charges. Obviously you will likely not be hired if you have a felony record.

I got my info from a hiring manager when I was looking for a dealing position back in November.

Are you a Caesars employee? Maybe we can take it to PM, as I have a more specific follow up question.

There's a 5/10 game that runs twice a week(Tuesday & Thursday) at Ameristar. There's a couple problems with it. It starts at 1pm(while i'm at work) so by the time I get off, do whatever and get up there it's around 7pm, there's a list about 3 ppl long and no one leaves the game. Last 3 weeks I've tried to get into it and after waiting 2 hours and the list not moving I just left.
It's the same players every week(as the 5/10 player pool here is MAYBE 20 people)

If you just want to get out of town, sure. I always think it's great to get out and travel to play at other places as much as possible. Is the game at Ameristar so juicy that I think it's worth a 4-5 hour drive for?....no.

Trooper must be sickened when he sees Neemes latest tweet...

Westgate had no free seats in their entire poker room for his and Brads MUG and waiting list 38 deep....

Lads are killing it. Id say they made a serious wedge from Westgate too

Thinking Johnny Vibes being there probably helped as well. Did realize Neeme and JV knew each other prior to the vlogs

Also JohnnieVibes announced he would be there. He had a lot of people show up to see him as well.

So you had:

Andrew
Brad
Johnnie
Ryan

That's 125K subs in one room

The perfect spot for Troop to press the flesh and support the community.

How long did he stay?

Good point. I can see huge benefits for every vlogger if they all showed up to these things. It can only be good for poker having a room full of casual players playing in an environment where most of the room just want to have some fun.

The possibilities of where you can go with that could be huge.

Troop will miss out on this as he only sees it as losing revenue he could potentially keep for himself on another night

That is such BS. The DOJ doesn't run every little thing they do by the President. They are supposed to enforce laws on the books. It's Congress and the President who make laws. The UIGEA which was WORSE than Black Friday and laid the foundation for Black Friday to happen WAS a direct consequence of REPUBLICAN policies - signed by law by George W. Bush and introduced in the dead of night by 3 Republicans into a Port Security Act that had NOTHING to do with security.

If you want to blame anyone for the legality of poker in the USA, it falls squarely to blame on Republicans. The money given to them largely by Sheldon Adelson or the support of the Evangelical wing of their party is mostly to blame for not having as many LAND and online based poker rooms as we should be able to have in the "land of the free" and the country that actually invented poker.

Almost every other player seemed to know JohnnieVibes personally. Out of the 110 players (60 seated plus 50 on the list) possibly 40 can probably be attributed to JohnnieVibes, who should probably consider having his own meet up at the Westgate. He could probably get 4 tables on during the first week but once the novelty has worn out he should expect to average around 2 tables in the long run.

Of the 70 players that was not JohnnieVibes driven, 20 were probably random walk ins. Neeme, Brad, Ryan can probably split the remaining 50 three ways for a total of 17 players each. Neeme did the right thing doing a live podcast on the same day with PokerNews. Very good marketing...and all other possible meet up hosts should learn from him.

The most relevant metric is number of players per host. It seems like Westgate is averaging 10 to 20 players per host on Wednesday and Thursday. Random walk ins should be counted against the host.

Sounds like your next trip should be to Commerce J-man, 5/10 games 24/7. Not that I play in those. Lol.

Trooper got 3 tables. Loses a little more weight. Sells tons of hats. Attacks Kraut like a pitbull.

Neeme's, JohnnieVibes, Owen's upsurge was no big deal. March Madness responsible for their's and Trooper's upswing in number of tables.

Trooper must really be over rolled in 1-2 and 1-3 to not even care about his poker playing results.

Saw the I, Tonya movie tonight and there are some amusing similarities between Tonya and Tim. Both of their names start with a T, both are "fighters", both primarily mention their mother, both have had "haters", both waited tables, and both have faced long odds while trying to make it.

Tonya cries when her lace comes untied and Trooper cries when he loses all his money and has to wait tables again.

I have not seen the movie yet and been a long time since I saw this. lol
