Just watched Marle’s new vlog after the positive reviews on this thread.

I really liked her first five or so vlogs and her newest vlog was a return to the quality of the original ones.

Hope she continues this upward trend as her recent vlogs were all pretty much unwatchable..

Trooper results:

January +341 in 24 sessions
February +3162 in 20 sessions
March +1038 in 1 session
Total: +4541

Trooper Thursday +1318 in 9 sessions
1/2 and 1/3 +1072 in 34 sessions (-246 in non TT games)
2/5 +3469 in 11 sessions

Low point: +$186 on 1/29
High point +4541 on March 2nd

Biggest losses: -1500 (1/23), -1365 (1/13)
Biggest wins: +1000 (1/19), +1038 (3/2)

35 winning sessions, 10 losing

Never been negative all year.

Our boy is back.

Also FWIW it seems he's putting more time in the game. Last year he was doing 17 sessions/month until WSOP. He didn't hit his 45th session until March 17 last year (vs Mar 2).

At this point last year he was -2763 until he had a +1695 day on March 2nd

I'll be darn that's Hans's kid. He's the one that drives the 100k corvette and is friends with PK. It's not a poker vlog tho. Maybe Trooper will have kid when he is 60 to

I don't think that one vlog qualifies as a trend. (But I hope you're right.)

I don't remember anyone predicting that. But feel free to copy and paste those predictions if you can find them.

Are you in sales or marketing?
How about we take off those rose-colored glasses.

He is 45 with maybe $10k to his name. (especially with his latest run-good).

I among others predicted he sucked at poker, needs lessons but won't get them, won't make money from poker, needs a job and /or to monetize his vlog

He called me and others haters for saying so and we were exactly right

He got a job, then started monetizing his vlog (including the meet up game that you mentioned) and hasn't made anything from actually playing poker.

If he had just said I I'm gonna do things my way then that would be fine. Nobody was stalking him,he voluntarily put his life and poker quest out there. He told us we were idiots and then did exactly what we said he should do bc he lacks poker skill. He has such a massive ego he couldn't admit people who had won at poker for years,in games way bigger than he plays might actually know what they were talking about with regards to what it takes to make it in poker .

The coffee clothing etc isn't what he wanted to do when he moved to Vegas .they're the type of things he had to do to be able to eat bc he sucks at poker but was good at making videos

Let me know when he makes real money over a large sample size

A decent week in 2/5 nl after miserable results for years isn't exactly game changing

Sorry I'm not impressed that someone was on live at the bike playing dirt stakes nl at 40somethingnyears old as some poker accomplishment.

It's pretty funny that his poker results have been so putrid the last couple of years that being up 4k for the year on March 4th is some amazing achievement

In all honestly, that is pretty impressive considering what Trooper came to Vegas with. And compared to what happens to most people who try to take a shot at playing poker full time. Consider:

He's increased his liquid assets by ~400%.
He has several streams of passive and semi-passive income.
He has a girlfriend.
People know who he is in the poker and poker vlogging community.
He has achieved his goal (at least temporarily) of not having to answer to anyone or have any responsibility beyond self preservation.

Trooper is doing everything he wants to do in life.

Trooper:
I was a captain of industry, feared by men, adored by women.

Haters:
ADORED? C'mon, let's be honest, Troop. You PAID for the women.

He failed at poker and had to get a job and side hustles to make money.Which in it of itself is fine.Starting at 1/2 nl these days and working your way up is super hard.I wouldn't want to do it.There is nothing wrong with him trying and failing. What there is something wrong with is putting your life on public display, telling those who know way more about poker than he ever will they're idiots and haters for telling him he sucks at poker and then doing exactly what they said he needs to do despite telling them how stupid they were for saying it.Oh and all of this despite being gifted a bbj for like 40k

Trooper also wasn't some 21 year old with a poker dream. He was pushing 40 or maybe already 40 , having never had real success at poker despite playing through the book who thought that even though he wouldn't work on his game very much or put in much needed hours he would magically succeed.

The bolded is also pretty laughable.

I agree with almost all of what you say. But it is true that Trooper is living the life he wants, even if most of us wouldn't want or like that life.

I read that glasses thing somewhere else on here. Never heard that expression before. I doubt it means "saying things that are true," but that's what I did.

Are you saying he's at $0 lifetime? Can you say something concrete if you're going to argue. I don't expect anything on 2p2 to be constructive but guys used to say sentences with some substance.

If you're struggling, you can probably make a lot of money teaching ESP.

Caught up on some Johnnie Vibes. He said he spent 20 hours editing a 20-minute episode and even more on a 29-minute episode. It'd be interesting if he logs how much time he spends on editing.

The micro-bet in theory makes sense and I do it sometimes against strangers, but my table image leads regs to suspect that everything I do is a trick so it never induces a spazz from players who know me. It's more likely to scare them into just calling with the second nuts. It's more usual getting a few extra dollars out of curious player who won't call a quarter-pot bet.

The live poker forum is filled with threads that involve cards touching the muck. The posters I respect tend to think it's a stupid rule to have touching the muck automatically cause a hand to be dead.

I respect Tim for his resilience. Many people would have been ran back home with their tails tucked if they were in his shoes. Also, if you have 10k in the bank at any age, You're well ahead of the nearly 80% of working Americans who live paycheck to paycheck. That other 20% are of course high salary individuals and 2+2ers who all have their **** together and are expert investors/financial advisors/legendary businessmen.

You mean they have moved on from "Is throwing in a single oversized chip a raise or a call"? What about if the guy was eating a sandwich and the oversized chip had some mustard on it?

I'm sure all those experts will now come out of the woodwork and tell you how wrong you are.....

I think it's human nature maybe to think that if you're doing well, that must mean everyone is doing well and if they arent, then it's their own fault. Well maybe not human nature, maybe it's the nature of people who choose not to think too deeply about things.

Saw Marle at Wynn poker room Saturday night. She looked real tired. I didn't see her table or what was going on caught her coming back from maybe bathroom. I was grinding the 250K. She is quite hot though.
