It's spread around, but nearly as significant as during wsop or big sporting events like March madness.
Same with ces... you see a little bump, but nearly a much as one might expect

The Mexican place is fairly good.

When I asked about Bobby's burger I was at the WSOP, so I wasn't about to go across the street to Posh anything.

The Horseshoe Fieri's place was not doing takeout, so I wasn't going to burn an hour during WSOP time sitting in a restaurant.

If Rio counts as "major hotel", it takes the crown. In second place, it's Horseshoe.

Think you are right. John Curtas’ worst meal of the year is already locked up by MY Asia.

What prevents you from circumventing the two max per visit by going multiple times?

Would I need a disguise to bring this plan to fruition?

nothing... no disguise needed. it's just two per visit. go back as often as you like.

the most I've been able to eat is two Vienna All Beef Hotdogs and then I'm done... but usually one is enough for me.

Lot of options at SP. The buffet isn’t terrible and cost effective. The diner has some good food, I like the deli. $1.50 hot dogs are decent.

I went to a number of places on my vacation the past few weeks. Really liked Ester’s Kitchen for lunch. That tomato sauce spaghetti is the best I’ve ever had, just everything done perfectly.

Went to Shang Mian the more quiet version of Sang Artisan, sane owners. Went there while staying down the street at Southpoint. I’d probably hit up there more popular Shang Artisan.

Went to Public Us on East Fremont, highly recommend. Had the Portuguese Musabi and the smoked salmon toast. Highly recommend.

Also hit up Eat., also in East Fremont on 7th and Carson. Of similar local places in the area, I ended up like food at 7th and Carson and Public Us over Eat.

Hit up several places for burgers, ones mentioned by John Curtas in his food blog. Went to Oscar’s Steakhouse happy hour and had the burger. $26 or so isn’t cheap but not crazy these days. Maybe it’s exactly my style but all the ingredients were perfectly prepared, perfect temp, all came together so well. I’d almost rather have this over most steaks it was that good.

Thanks Nit! It all looks great except for maybe the bun on the last burger. What were your thoughts?

Let's get to the important stuff. In the SouthPoint part, did the sports bet win?

The ceviche dish at Toca Madera is pretty incredible. Between that, the Caesar, and the brown butter cake, those are 3 of the most well done versions of those dishes I’ve had anywhere. Place is great.

Haha that was a bet on a trotter at some harness track in Ohio. Big bet of $3 across the board on some middle odds horse that of course lost. I did have a streak Tuesday where I won I think four races in a row betting them at the El Cortez race book. All of them at Finger Lakes racetrack, my back home track.

Yeah that was the Soul Belly burger. It’s a 1/2 pound of brisket that I assume is trimmings from their briskets, ground in house and smoked out back. The bun I assume is normally toasted. I had higher expectations and at $18, not cheap.

The Nevada Brew works burger was over cooked. If it hadn’t been I’d say it was much better.

More food spam, both places downtown and in or connected to the Downtown Grand. They have a $2 hotdog and beer. I’d say a 10 oz beer and not the best dog but edible. I mean for $2 can’t be picky and if in a pinch and need a quick bite before heading back to craps it’s the way to go.

Other pics is a great stout pizza from Pizza Rock.

I probably went to 10 different non casino bars in the past couple of weeks. I should possibly start another thread for that.
