Esthers one of my top few eating experiences in Vegas, but could have just been that one time. Think they have two patios?

I don't really like Jessie Rae's or any bbq in vegas. I liked Soul Belly way more than the people I was with at the time. Though I thought I got smoked pastrami or something like that which I don't see on the menu.

Was going to also mention Soul Belly but for it’s burger and better location.

The Asian restaurant at Orleans is pretty good. They have sushi and Chinese food. I like the Chinese food better at Ping Pong Pang at Gold Coast.

Any recommendations for good schezuan food?

Nearly impossible to get a report on their water supply.

Regarding The Orleans Legionairre's Disease problem... From what I read, and think I understand, the legionella bacteria is only transmitted through vapors from showers and hot tub jets. The only reported illnesses were hotel guests a couple of months ago, and none from casino or restaurant customers or employees. So, I don't think it is too risky to be in the building. I wouldn't drink the tap water, but plan to play some poker there in late June/early July. I had a reservation there, but canceled, and booked at the Horseshoe instead, which I feel good about.

The two go-tos as of 2019 were Mian Noodles and Chengdu Taste, but honestly more Szechuan and Szechuan-inspired places have been popping up (or at least now there's a million places to get chili-oil dumplings), and I haven't been keeping up like I used to -- the two I've mentioned could be closed for all I know.

Interesting Malucci mentioned Mian when I asked for either Dan Dan or hand pulled noodles. I’ve been going to their Houston spot at least once a month, it’s 5 minutes from my office. Always go for the numb spicy noodles or Zajiang based on my mood. I didn’t like my first time but went back after Malucci recommended it and for me the game changer was requesting less oil.

Also will definitely need to do Chengdu Taste which seems like a sort of chain with a location in Houston close to work. Their Sichuan Tan Tan noodles looks good.

I'll have to give Chengdu Taste another try. I ate there once a few years ago, but ordered the wrong thing, boiled fish with green pepper sauce. It tasted great, but I had problems eating it because it was full of small pieces of bones, making it difficult to get a mouthful without needing to spit something out. Next time I may opt for something I know I can palate, like ma-po tofu and dry cooked string beans. Getting hungry thinking about it.

I didn't know Chengdu Taste was a chain, but that's ok. It seemed very authentic to me, especially the service. I was the only non-Asian looking person there during the lunch rush, and while parties that arrived after me were being served, I was fabulously ignored for quite some time before a stone faced waiter came over to take my order. White boy first world problems LOL! No worries. Despite the perceived slight, I'll go back for another bite.

Mr Mamas Breakfast and Lunch was crowded but no wait. All their omelets say made with 4 eggs! But much be small eggs. Looks to be the size of other places' 3 egg omelets.

Got the Mamas omelet which had all the good veggies and avocado with a mild green chile sauce. Split the signature cinnamon roll and that was great. Better than cinnamon bun

Service was quick and the coffee refills kept coming.

Prices aren't cheap. 13-16 for an omelet. $4 coffee. But all was fresh and delicious. We're spending the day at the Orleans so it's nearby.

I can see why it's popular.

Yeah Mr. Mama’s is always busy, it’s okay, don’t hate it, but many places I like better for breakfast, probably won’t ever be back.

You don’t have to name many but can you list a few?

A couple of places with hand-pulled noodles on the Strip are Beijing No. 9 at Caesars and Martin Yan's new M.Y. Asia at Horseshoe. I have no personal knowledge of those places, but they've come up in my research. I believe you can watch them make the noodles at both places.

John Curtas said at my Asia they hand roll noodles for show but don’t then use the noodles. I havent heard him crush a place that badly in over 6 months, stay far away.

Strictly for pancakes or pie, go to dupars inside suncoast in summerlin. You won’t be happy with the service, you won’t be happy with the atmosphere, but these are the best pancakes I’ve ever had.

Magic Noodle on Fort Apache does hand pulled…lots of people love it, it’s very popular, but I prefer Shang’s.

It’s Omelet House, and yes, very old school diner with real…interesting decor, large portions, went there this past year and was a fan for sure.

I don’t really like Egg and I that much, it’s okay, been a few times, and it’s just kinda whatever for me, too popular for how average it is. But to each his or her own.

My co-workers and I go to Coffee Pub on Sahara near the In N Out by Palace Station. Nothing fancy but we enjoy it.
