Daily bread was packed on a sat morning, happy for those guys, food is great, they regularly throw new things on the menu, and quality is as good as anything short of bouchon.

The cinnamon roll I got from them today may be the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever eaten.

Are there any really good Indian places that you’ve tried and would recommend? Am planning a surprise trip to Vegas for my wife this year and she loves Indian food. In all my trips to Vegas, I don’t recall seeing many Indian restaurants. Am open to venturing off strip if the food is worth it. Thanks in advance for the recs.

I haven't tried it, but I have heard good things from people on Mint Indian Bistro on Durango/Flamingo...

Also, Curry Leaf on Fort Apache.

there should be other options because we have a large Indian, Sri Lankan and Pakistani population here.

Nothing great but there are a handful that are good. Mint is probably consensus best choice.

Here’s a more comprehensive list in case you want to read Yelp/Google reviews or check menus/proximity to you. https://vegas.eater.com/maps/essenti...ants-las-vegas

I have eaten at maybe 60% of that list and i think the places I’ve been have generally been fine options, but nothing has blown me away in terms of execution, menu, service. Etc.

Yeah haven't eaten at mint in ages and it's fine, but never eaten indian food in vegas that i thought was obviously better than indian food in tons of other cities

Mount Everest is easily the best Indian spot in Vegas that I’ve tried. Marigold is giving it a run for the money recently though.

Anybody have a favorite hot pot place? Prefer open late or 24 hrs.

Anyone have any suggestions for weekend brunch for 8 people on the west side/strip area?

Not really, sorry. Been to swish and chubby cattle and both were fine.

Silverado Steak house in South point isn't half bad... it's not the greatest but Ive eaten there many times and its okay. occasionally they have the tomahawk, but the top cut is usually a dry aged rib eye... and the Lobster Bisque is pretty good.

dont go to Michaels.

I liked the steakhouse at Green Valley Ranch. Just as good as the popular ones people would recommend on the Strip. Are you staying at SP? I'm sure their steakhouse is just fine and they have the prime rib place as well. The M and Silverton are not far. GVR is the only of the 4 I've been to. I'm not a big steakhouse guy so if there any good ones outside of a casino in the area I don't know them.

Not stand alone that I know of unless it's something like a brasilian meat parade at Town Square. Most are in the Casino properties.

Red Rock has T-bones Chop House... but it's not right by South point.

if you would entertain going to red rock to be disappointed, you might as well just to Echo & Rig in Tivoli Village...

No I would not entertain a Uber from Southpoint to RedRock

I have stayed many times at the Red Rock it is a favorite of mind. We ate at T-Bones and were not impressed. Best food I have had at the Red Rock is the Brew Pub they have there

If you're willing to go to the strip, Bavette's.
