With all the scandals these days is there a site worth joining that can help move a player up to the "Pro" level. Specifically cash games and tourneys of a more advanced level and some limit advice thrown in.

i recently read thru this post and came to the decision that signing up for a weeks trial at DC was the best option,

however given the short nature of the trial i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction for what videos to watch.

i am looking for small to midstakes nl full ring games and am reletively new to the cash game scene

any help would be greatly received,

cheers,

dougie

You can't go past 'Tree bets' by Nolan and 'Under newmanagement' by Newmanmi.

Could you be more specific about what kind of content you're looking for? Different sites have different strengths but if you can mention exactly what you have in mind (for example, mid stakes full ring no limit videos) then somebody here will be able to point you in the right direction.

Unfortunately there's very little good full ring content out there in general - it's the weakest area of the market in my opinion.

If you're playing Full Ring SSNL then the coaches worth watching are Nolan and Newmanmi from Deucescracked, Damn Ringer and Rask88 from CardRunners and Leatherass9 from DragTheBar. I also think a lot of Phil Galfond's content on BlueFire (primarily his philosophy series) would be valuable for you also (even though not directly full ring related).

I can't speak for tournaments however for Limit Hold'em cash games Entity on Deucescracked is solid as is DosXX and TheBryce on CardRunners is also a good watch. I'm sure there's also a lot of other great coaches out there for this however its been sometime since I put a lot of work into my Limit Hold'em game and they're the only ones I've watched recently.

If nobody else chimes in here then perhaps try making a post in one of the Limit Hold'em discussion threads (this one primarily), I'm sure somebody there would be happy to help you out.

whats everyone's oppinion on watching videos for limits higher than what you play.

especially for micro players, is watching brian townsend play 600NL more/less/about the same useful as verneer play 10nl?

how many micro/small stakes player have feel like they've learned more from a good instructor regardless of the limits they play?

I think it's a good idea provided you're still watching videos that are around your stake in addition to this. You'll pick up strategies from higher videos you can incorporate into your game and you'll pick up dynamics and tendencies of other regulars at your own stake by watching by watching regulars from your own games.

edit: Although if you're lower then 200nl I probably would avoid 600nl+ content for now as you're going to misapply a lot of the strategies being discussed and you'd be much better off with lower content.

I've been away from 6-max limit for almost 2 years. I used to play 10/20 and up. I'm wondering what the best training site is for me to brush up on my mid-stakes play.

Thanks in advance,

YT

Can someone tell me who's training vids are actually kinda fun to watch but still makes very solid play? This would be for mid stakes, 6 handed cash (or at least 200NL and above) preferably. For instance, I've watched a lot of Aejones vids on Leggo because he's kinda goofy and off the wall, so I actually like watching lol. It's good because when the player can make things more interesting, it clicks in my head a lot better. Or at least give me someone that has a good voice for it because a lot of players sound too stereotypically nerdy :P. Thanks

Thanks, but they're on Leggo also aren't they? I'm considering getting another membership on another site as well.

Looking to join a site and these are my two biggest considerations:

1. I would like a good video/series of videos on setting up and using a HUD/using PT3 to review my game
2. Would be interested to see some videos that were filmed playing on Merge

I play mostly 50nl and 100nl 6 max games.

Any suggestions on what site to join?
