For those who have enjoyed the trial periods for the various sites, have you always been able to quickly cancel those trials before you reached the offical period where charges started hitting your credit card. (I assume they want your cc number up front, I may be wrong).

I always get nervous when someone has the ability to start charging me. No one likes money taken. I'm sure sites want you to try them and have no interest in charging people intentionally. If you've had a good or bad experience during your trial periods, please respond.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another question was which sites allow you to download their videos to the computer to view? I don't have high speed internet connect at the moment and streaming video for me is nearly impossible. I'm no computer expert, but if a site has the ability for the customer to click 'save as' on the video and download it to their computer to play on WMV, that would be ideal. Anyone know any sites that are like that?

Thanks for reading. Enjoy this thread. Always good information from you guys.

Hey! I'm a full ring limit player (.25/.50) and I have been going through a few of the DC FR series (lags on a leash, peanut collector/protector) and I'm just wondering what other series I should also watch to help me with my game? I'm looking to learn more situational strategy and reading hand ranges, and also advice on moving up in stakes. In episode 8 of LOAL, they make a call down with Q high based on the situation, this is some of what I'm looking to learn more about.
And I know there are way more 6max videos than fr so if I need to look into those to find these concepts that's fine too. And also if you can recommend any beginner 6max videos that'd be great too! (playing 6max vs FR)
Thanks so much!

I don't believe that's true of several of the sites. A lot have streaming videos and of those few that allow downloads, I am not sure which format. I have seen some sites that have content that is ipod compatible...does that means its going to play on the computer on wmv?

Usually if a site says its ipod compatible, that means they offer videos specifically produced for the ipod/iphone's screen resolution. This is in addition to full size downloads that will play in high resolution on your computer.

That helps. DTB might be my best option. Thats pretty much what they advertise.

You can w/pretty much every DC vid as well, however multitabling vids are sort of pointless on an Ipod due to table size.

DTB has a link in all video downloads for an IPOD resolution DL which is directly compatible with IPODs.

While researching sites, I noticed sit n go grinders has a deal where you get sng wizard in some of their subscription packages at reduced price.

I think they also have videos on properly using it, etc. I am sort of tempted to do it just for the wizard deal. I have been wanting to get one for a while anyways. I think its just $60-70 from them. It regularly costs like around $99 everywhere else? Something like that.

hi

I was thinking about joining a pokertrainingsite mainly for micro's/lowstakes NL cashgames. And so I came across bluefirepoker, with their lead pro Phil Galfond. When I saw this I really wanted to sign up, just because it's Phil Galfond, one of the best imo. But then I took a look at the site, and I went looking at the vids and I saw that the stakes he plays in the videos are 1kNL+.

Are the concepts and thinking he uses in his 1kNL sessions usefull and even applicable in lower stakes games?

i have a question for TPE members...........or the TPE pros

i attempted to enroll two days ago and was told i would receive an email with a password allowing me to access the site............and, to date, i have not

i have tried to contact TPE on numereous occassions .........to no avail

has anyone experienced similar radio silence ?

i fully admit i may have erred in my enrollment process...............but if so, i am prepared to try to fix it

it looks like a terrific site...................that of it accessible without being a member..............and the price is very reasonable

any assistance is appreciated
