FYI, I really am playing in this to try to get better, if anyone wants to give me some feedback on my play (here or in PM), I'd appreciate it.

Congrats Superboy --- knew that was a foregone conclusion when you won with your QQ against KK and my lousy AQ -- but I still couldn't watch

It appeared to be a bit of destiny for you earlier as well --- It's a really fun game when you run like God

Well done and congratulations !!!

1 fold, Hero raises to t600, TrialLawyer raises to t2140 all in, 1 fold, dogkiker666 raises to t2310 all in, 4 folds, Hero calls t1710

Honestly I've thought about this hand a lot. I'm still not sure I'm supposed to call. I raise to 600 and Trial shoves. When dog goes all in after Trial's shove that's such a strong line, after a raise and shove. Ultimately, I call because if they both have AK/AQ type of hands I'm winning, and if I lose I'm down to about 5k which is still a good stack, but if I win I'm up to 12K with a huge stack. I feel like I would have had to be sure that Dog's hand was KK or AA to make that fold, and I wasn't sure of that. What does everyone think?

For the record, my wife saw the hand and after Dog's shove said "He probably has Kings." Man did I hear about that one.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Obviously it was my time to get hit with the deck.

I should be in for HORSE tonight. I didn't even realize there was a game, cause I had HORSE turned off in the filter. So thanks to amlindauer for mentioning it. Part of me is just playing for the Razz. I love razz.

With the pot odds you need about 32% equity to make this call profitable.

If you put the first guy who shoves on TT+, AQ+, AQo+ and the second guy on KK+, AK, AKo you get these results with pokerstove:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 23.215% 19.71% 03.51% 257202258 45739122.67 { TT+, AQs+, AQo+ }
Hand 1: 43.666% 40.62% 03.05% 530013904 39803466.67 { KK+, AKs, AKo }
Hand 2: 33.120% 32.53% 00.59% 424468794 7730262.67 { QcQh }

---------

i.e. insta fist-pump call all day there, because even if only one of the guys is on a slightly broader range you are gonna have even more equity. IMO

The only way I call that hand in your position is with a stack like the one you had -- and if I felt like gambling a little

I knew I was in BAD trouble when the KK called knew it was QQ+ or AKs+ --- was actually surprised to see your call til the cards flipped over

I pushed cause I thought I could induce a fold

meh, sometimes I simply play it wrong
11-07-2009 , 05:03 PM
Superboy, with your stack especially I call 110% of the time.
11-07-2009 , 06:31 PM

people, it's sunday and the event is starting in a minute and there's only 17 people registered as of right now ... get your butt in there for crying out loud.

somebody just hit a royal again and it was me
royal count is 2 for this cycle now, and as far as I remember there has been one at least in each cycle so far, which should bring the total of royal flushes hit in the league to 5.
