I've heard of some program that is basically a keyboard on the screen. You use it for entering passwords, idea being a keylogger still can't tell what you are entering.

Does anyone know anything about this?

Also, I think I've asked before, but can someone tell me the name of one of those programs that auto generates and keeps track of passwords for everything?

start > all programs > accessories > accessibility > on-screen keyboard

A software keylogger will hook up with the system and log all keystroke events. The onscreen keyboard simulates keystrokes by sending the very same event as a regular keyboard would do. I don't think that switching to that "keyboard" will improve your security against this form of attack.

It would help against hardware keyloggers that an attacker placed between your computer and your keyboard but you probably got bigger problems if you need to defend yourself against an attack like that...

That's unfortunate

OMG - last week it was a text, this week it's an email.

Thankfully it's a you suck email, but she's vague about what I did that confirmed that she made "the absolutely correct decision about ending things."

Now I'm just super curious about what it is. It's probably better not to email, text, or call her and find out what it is, though, right?

Yes, I'm sure you are. I would be the same. Notice though that I did not even expound upon my response? That is because the answer is so firm and clear that I did not want to detract from it.

In all honestly, even if you did respond to it you would not know what the truth was. It sounds as though she is feeling desperate and is now ready to grasp at anything to regain your focus.

She is playing games with your head. She knows you still have feelings for her, and is just toying with you. Any contact would be bad for you.
11-10-2009 , 04:57 AM
Also, how was the date?

Oh, and you aren't FB friends are you? If so then I wouldn't be posting things like about how curious you are and etc. It doesn't take an Einstein to recognize that you are talking about her email. No sense feeding her that way either.

You're probably right.

Yeah, she probably is. I actually don't think about her much anymore which is a good thing.

Date went well, actually. We were at a club until 8AM. *chuckle*

No, I defriended her and the people she's friends with that I am only acquainted with. That was one of the ways to cut off all communication with her. I probably shouldn't have even put that up as a FB status.

Probably right? Hmpffft!

Glad the date went well. Sounds like you are on the right track, so although I'm sure it isn't easy...keep going!

I mean, definitely right!

TBH, it's not been that hard. It was hard the first few days but it's been two weeks now and I rarely think about her anymore.

I'm going to have to fight the curiosity all day tomorrow, though. *chuckle* Once Wednesday hits, I'll be good.

Now that's better.

Yeah, it's a large part the breaking of the routine that's hard IMO. Once that's done then you just move on. No sense lamenting what was. Too much good in life to be stuck doing that!

I understand about curiosity as I have a huge streak of it. Srsly doubt though that there her email represents anything related to her true feelings. Most likely it's just her frustration talking. She's lost control now and that's simply no fun at all. She's making her last ditch efforts to regain it and once those are exhausted she'll no doubt move on. I'm sorry for her but it just doesn't sound like she was the girl for you.
11-10-2009 , 07:31 AM
damntra i wouldnt talk to her unless she sends you something else. and then it would be just to call her out on everything she thinks bad about herself.

worst case scenario she doesnt talk to you again and you dont have to worry about mind games and the such. standard scenario, she gains respect for you and interest.
