Pretty awesome how small the poker world is. First day in town last week I run into villains from games I played in Chicago, Florida, and Commerce. Except for Ivey & DamnRinger I've seen all the big names and best players (although I'm not sure if it was Galfond I saw or a chubby millionaire). Surprised that people give the big name guys so much privacy/distance - I assumed Dwan would have a trail of fanboys (or an entourage) everywhere he went. A friend of one of the guys from my LAPC final table recalled my name when he sat down at Wednesday's event. Even qqq-quads' online and live exploits were being discussed at last nights cash game.*

Finished in the money in yesterdays Caesars nooner..eventually busted out AA vs K3 w 17bb left..then hopped over to the rio to have DueyTomko and Doyle Brunson give me some tourney and live cash game advice...awesome.

JR Belland was the only recognizable pro who was a total douche to his rail

Dwan semi-accused Tom Schneider and Rob Mizrachi of colluding yesterday at the 2-7 championships. River: Miz checks, schneid bets, Miz raises smallish, Schneid just calls with 76432...noone made much of a stink, but dwan looked confused for 5 minutes repeatedly asking schnieder "did you know he had more chips? and shaking his head "i dont understand"

Zac,

Dogs need discipline. You need to physically show them who's the boss.

It wasn't my dog, I just wanted him to gtfo. I said I hated dogs not that I bought one and wasn't satisfied with it. I don't want to have to do anything physically to train them I just want them to all gtfo.

if i could take a mulligan id be much more involved in the college life. id join a bunch of clubs (or create one) and convince friends i meet along the way and hot womenz to join them. id get as much experience and build as many friendships (and network) as possible. i was too cool for all of that at the time but even still the friends and network i built in college was probably just as valuable as the education for both personal and career. youre the life coach but i thought id throw in my 2 pesos

There once was a man from Peru,
who fell asleep in a canoe,
while dreaming of venus,
he played with his penis,
and woke up with a hand full of goo.

After the whale called a river check raise with a super weak hand, I composed this one about him... Another player joined in on the whale limerick game but I dont recall it...

There once was a man from Motown
Never dealt a hand he could laydown
He got check raised he said NO WAY
His opponent left with a frown

Ha, kind of. The theory is that humans built the pyramids, but with alien technology. Like there's some ancient structures around the world where there is evidence that the stones were heated at super high temperatures for it to be shaped and made the way it is.

although some things were right on the money, but a pity IMO, it could've been so much more as the 'anomalies' it presents are actually pretty sick.
Ya some of there theories seem like wild speculation, but others seem to have concrete evidence.

My future looks crappy. Go back to school for 3 semesters, get an economics degree, and become an emergency hire math teacher and get paid 35k/yr.
I have never taken an econ class in my life but all my lazy friends are econ majors and they said it was easy. Plus all the other majors require a lot more classes and would take longer to finish. what everybody else doing?
06-10-2011 , 08:20 PM
Not finishing ucd....plus ev to just go to junior college and be a nurse.....take home like 70k a year.

I teach middle school math. You will either immensely enjoy teaching or completely despise it; I don't find many teachers in the middle of that spectrum.

I suggest volunteering in a few classrooms to see what grade level you prefer. You don't want to hate your teaching job. Further, your job won't be to merely ensure that your students can solve an equation - students have social problems to be solved, family matters that need your guidance, etc.
06-10-2011 , 08:23 PM
My sister is a nurse and while the job overall is meh she only works 4 days a week and whats important to me is enjoying life..travel...and spending money. Being a nurse facilitates all that for me so ya. Did I mention gf is going to med school? Lol

ya my friend is a math teacher and he loves it. He told me he enjoys high school better than middle school. Im gonna sit in his summer school class and see if it is for me.

Not safe until PS, FT, or PartyPoker are cleared by the DOJ to operate in the US.
