I just read some of the FTP room reviews on Poker Scout and they're hilarious. Every second one is about the site being rigged because the poster can't win with AA/KK/QQ/JJ.

Ragarding the UIEGA and the transfers of money. My opinion is the biggest thing to worry about is companys getting skitish and distancing themselves from online gambling . For example some of the processors decide its not worth the risk anymore. Or like what happened with Netspend, although I know nothing about Netspend.

Regarding banks, some people make it sound like the banks having until 6/1 to finalize their enforcement will all simultaneously hit a magic button and their anit-gambling enforcement will begin. I seriously doubt this to be the case. This law passed years ago and many of the banks made their adjustments ages ago, remember the original deadline was in Dec. I doubt most banks did any further measures since then. It's not as if they have been fine tuning their new systems and will unleash them on us 6/1.

Spent Thursday - Saturday in Atlantic City. LOL live pokers. It feels absolutely criminal to not win at this game.

Was up ~$200 after a couple of short sessions Thursday/Friday. Had all day Saturday to play and knew the Taj would be slammed. BBJ was at $515k, plus the holiday weekend, and it did not disappoint. The place was jammed.

Naturally, flop top two twice in five minutes only to have a guy turn a gutter for a straight, followed by a turned flush. Later, got stacks in on the flop after flopping a flush vs. bigger flush, GG.

Had one woman call a gutter on the flop, turn a flush draw to boot and then flat my river bet when she finally backdoors the flush. Had a guy flat call my $7 river bet after I hit a straight from BB with a straight ****ing flush!!!! Watched a guy call a raise pre, raise a continuation bet on a KQQ flop and snap call a shove with 88.

Did play for a while with a guy named Augustin Mendez, who I recognized from the 2006 U.S. Poker Championship (which got a ton of play on ESPN back then). He finished 8th that year, when Alex Jacob shipped the title on a final table that also included Jordan Morgan, Mike DeMichele, Dan Shak and that Shaniac dude. Got then impression that Mendez was just grinding 1/2 all day to chase the BBJ, like a lot of people.

Played in the Friday tourney at Showboat. Five made the money, I was seventh, FML. Made a horrible laydown right before the final table and never recovered.

On the positive side, I actually had a fantastic time. Drank an inordinate amount at the Irish Pub all three days. Had great times and an assload of laughs with some great friends. Had more Irish Car Bombs in three days than I've had in the last five years combined, so I've got that going for me, which is nice.

I've been speaking these words for years... i don't even worry when I have AQ in that spot. I know i'm getting there.
