went to the dentist and last time they took it was march when it was 125/80 or so, given that is very average and fairly normal (even though Im obese). I go in yesterday and its like 141/81 or something ******ed and the lady is like DO YOU HAVE ANY WORK RELATED STRESS?

......

tl;dr, the dentist said I should go see a doctor and evaluate if I should play poker much longer because I might not be able to handle the stress which increases blood pressure and heart rate. LOL.

lets recap 2010 medical ailments:

1. stopped smoking weed in January because I was told lungs are too weak
2. being told to stop poker 100% because my heart cant take it in September

while I think the two are unrelated, I think I severely need to lose weight.

thoughts?

I got my black card letter in the mail today, and thought about putting it on my facebook status, then I realized what a huge nerd I am and didn't.

If you are technically obese, then losing weight should be your first priority in life.

winrate first, physical longevity second.

yeah and all the things you need to do to lose weight should really help your poker.

Exercise will help you keep an even keel while playing, less tilt better decision making. Eating well can do the same, keep you from being tired no brain fog from sugar crashes .

+1. I just can't understand these fat Americans who are obese, talk about losing weight, but they never exercise and all they do is talk and write about food. So annoying.

pretty sick to have to deal with that so young. Not trying to be a dick but your fitness level relative to your age is horrible. You gotta exercise and/or eat better

yeah i think barace's wr is an indication of how tough the games are. His game remains the same and his wr is dropping

I like FT software, Rush and the games in general. Many of the Stars guys say the state of the games over there (with all the 20-50 tables) is terrible.

I used to be in your shoes, sitll smoking a lot of weed tho . I was pretty overweight Jan 1st of this year, decided to hit the gym and try eating better..

It's been 9 months now, i've lost 30 lbs and feel better than I ever have in my life. My game has also improved drastically. GL, you won't change your life overnight but day by day if you stay motivated and keep your eye on your goal you will get there.

By technical standards, I think a lot of people are obese who really aren't. There's book definition of obese and then there's visibly obese. But, when somebody says he's obese, I'm sure he is.

As a fat American myself who has only recently just finally taken the first step to losing weight, it's often easier said than done. I've dropped somewhere between 25-30 lbs in the past 45 days (while eating and exercising regularly) and plan on losing about 53 more to get to under 200 for the first time since I was in 6th grade or something like that.

The type of food served here really is terrible in terms of nutritional content. I know more than one person who moved here from overseas and just put on a ton of weight as a result to not adjusting to all the food and the portions served in restaurants.

If you had told me to do something about my weight a year or two ago it would've never happened. Some sort of motivating force really has to click in your head and you have to commit to making lifestyle changes. A scary doctor's appointment certainly can be one of those events. And when you've been living the same lifestyle for the past decade it isn't so easy. There are people out there who can eat just about anything and stay reasonably trim (my brother for example), and there are people who can't.

I've always been pretty active and move pretty well for a big guy. I go out of my way to play sports but only now after dropping this quick 25 lbs do I see just how amazing a difference it is. More energy, more speed, more endurance. Anyway, long story short I plan on being below 200 lbs at some point in the next 8 months, and I haven't been at a weight like that since 6th grade. UCD, if you're looking to get on that track, I'd be happy to share with you what has worked for me. Although, I'm sure on some level everybody has to figure out what works best for them.

09-29-2010 , 05:16 PM
depending on your timezone that could easily be played over 2 days
09-29-2010 , 05:21 PM
just under 12 consecutive hours
09-29-2010 , 05:24 PM
