Tee to green I have the ability to hit it better than I ever have right now. And thus bc golf it means im yipping a lot of putts. Like yanking or pushing lag putts 6 feet right or left from 30 feet. Missing by 2 cups from 6 feet. Lol

Great round tho. Hit it so solid. Chipped it well the few greens I missed just 35 putts with 13 greens hit is disappointing.

Might mess with some left hand low putting for a bit. Or buy a putter…

In the comp played decently, Probably will come around 6th.

Had another comp outside of the comp and got 37 points.

Guy off 17 posted a 75 which is a net 58 and like 46 points.

Lost my swing on the back, things got a little ugly but I managed to dig out some pars with the short game.

56/9holes. But came home with these beauties

45-46-91. No birdies, 2 double bogeys, 2 triple bogeys. 70.3/133/6100 yards

Yikes. It was brutal in all aspects. It's been a long time since I hit the ball that poorly. Managed three water balls on a course that doesn't have that much water. Many bunkers. The only thing that kept it out of the triple digits was the putter.

Of course I went to the range beforehand for the first time this season, hit the ball well out of the gate. Even brought out an old 3 wood and was hitting that well. Over to the course and pffffffft, awful.

Took a couple short videos on the range, man is that one ugly swing. Depressing. If it looks that awful when I was hitting decent shots I can only imagine what it looked like when I couldn't buy solid contact on the course.

36 holes yesterday,

1st 18 was a team event 3v3 taking best 2 scores per hole in a stableford format. We lost, but I think I did my part scoring on every hole but 1 hole.

2nd 18 and by this time I was so burnt from the sun but I actually played pretty well. Think I shot +6 on that round.

You've got some classics there, antiques even.

We don't have many spots on my course to find golf balls (the course I grew up on had a deep gulley that you had to cross on one whole; it was way too steep to casually go get your ball, and a gold mine for us junior golfers), but I did find a good one once: it had literally five lines of positive "swing thoughts." Dude who ordered that ball has problems.

Porter - have you ever been to Bandon while they're burning/removing gorse? in certain pockets it looked like hail covering the ground, which makes total sense because that's why they're removing the gorse.
i've often imagined an aerial view of all those courses immediately after all vegetation was magically removed. talk about shot dispersion patterns

42-45-87 for men's night tonight. One bird, lots of bogeys, a couple doubles and a triple.

It snowed last night and this morning but was a very wet snow, and enough managed to melt that they did a 5pm shotgun for anyone who wanted to play.

Only 40 showed up so got tons of spaced and walked 18 in 3.5 hours, was great.

Putting was quite off, couldn't get the pace right downhill. Felt like the heavy amount of moisture made it difficult and they were much slower than normal.

Good to get out there and walk and get some reps in. Ended up being a nice night.

I haven't seen that; that's amazing. They completely drained a front-of-the-green pond at one of my courses one time, and it was insane how many balls were there.

48 (par 36). No birdies, 3 double bogeys, 1 quad.

Considered a WD-injury after the second hole but decided to stick it out, just didn't hit anything longer than a 7 iron the rest of the way, which made for some good short game practice. Putting was again good, chipping a mixed bag.

My course was FINALLY dry today. 47-41-88. I missed two chip ins by a total of 5 inches. I missed about 6 putts of decent-ish length that just burned the edge. Now granted, I did make two bomb putts that I had absolutely no business making.

One birdie, 3 doubles, one quad (quad with no penalty strokes, barf).

Got a bonus 9 in too. 47 w/ two quads.

27 holes took 4 hrs 35 mins.

43-45-88. No birdies, 5 double bogeys.

Started out well but made a stupid double on 6 and was inconsistent after that. At least there were quite a few good shots, a significant improvement from Tuesday.

9 hole roll up ... 36 (+2) 21 points, Tied 2nd and winner got 22 points.

I played solid the only thing letting me down I was missing greens from fairways. I think I hit 2 out of 9 greens in reg. Had 5 up and downs for Par saves.

18 hole roll up 39-36-75 got me 40 points.

Decent scoring out there today though. I don't think I even come top 5 out of like 20 people. Winner had 49 points and 2nd had 46!

Oh man did I suck. I think I made solid contact with an iron like 5 times. I also managed to miss a 150 yard approach left by about 70 yards.

Silver lining.....when I sucked last year I'd be lucky to break 110.

45-48-93. No brirdies, many others. 70.7/127/6122 yards.

New course to me, it was interesting but nobody in our group was real pleased by it. Rock hard greens, they weren't fast but had a ton of slope. Above the hole was death.

My favorite was the third, which is kind of their signature hole. It's a downhill 100 yard par 3 with water on three sides. Pin was on the back third of the green today and we played off a mat tee. I hit a high 3/4 wedge with plenty of spin, it hit the middle of the green short of the pin and trampolined 15 yards into the water beyond the green without even a second bounce.

I played okay for a couple holes but lost my swing pretty quickly and couldn't ever find it again. Hit a lot of godawful shots. Really, really frustrating.

51 at the city muni. First par of the year.

first time out in about a month (other than a range trip or two)
net even front, net -5 on the back. 45-40. no birds (zero GIR!!!), two doubles, 29 putts 70.1/127. card says 6,234 but they had a few tees forward since we've received almost 4" of rain so far in May so more like 6,100 with minimal roll and wet grabby rough.
played the first four +6, played 10-14 +1 with all one putts, including three in a row from outside 20'. finished strong with a par
short game was actually above expectation, but missing fairways was no bueno this morning and for a couple of holes the top of my swing felt like i was using left handed clubs.
