Broke 100 for the first time ever today, 45+52=97.
I missed 4 or 5 puts by less than 3 inches. Also 18 is a short (130) par 3 over water. So of course I got on the green in 5 with 2 hazards. I should of done much better, but at least it gives me hope that I can still improve. Not bad for someone who never picked up a club untill July of last year.
2 under through 25 holes today... pretty solid. Wish i could putt, i think i hit 22 greens and had 5 birdies. Clemson PGM here btw.
Cant wait to play tomorrow tho, just got the Adidas Tour 360 ltds, 6 dozen personalized ProV1s, half a dozen new gloves, a new Nike Sumo 5000 driver (which i love), and a new 56 Nike SV wedge (which is also sick, would strongly reccomend the SV wedges). Life is good.

The thing about golf is, there is rarely any "should have." A 30-capper makes a lot of misses that they feel they "should" have made...but if they normally made them, they wouldn't be a 30-capper.
The same applies to everyone though...a scratch golfer always feels they should've shot 6 under, but if they normally made those "should" have shots, they'd be a +4 cap or whatever. I'm scratch and constantly have that feeling that there were at least 2-4 shots left out on the course, but I know that if I were to normally be making them, I'd be a better golfer than I am...but I am where I am because I don't make those shots every time. So, I try to not feel that I "should" have made them.
Moral: you'll be a lot happier just accepting that unless you're working on your game, you're generally going to shot what you "should" have.

shot a 102 today, even though i felt i could do a LOT better. started front nine with 9 7 7 (definitely need to warm up better) and made a 9 on 12. other than that, shot four 6's and all 5's and 4's. made one par on a par 4. one nice note!
a few struggles were with mis-hits on the fairway. a couple i could blame on the lie, but the other 6 i couldn't. i was rather disappointed with my 43 putts. i definitely need to develop more of a feel on the greens.
definitely felt that i am lacking a hybrid club in my bag. didn't feel hitting any fairway woods, which cost me a couple of strokes. felt pretty good with the pitching wedge, making it onto the green, although i hoped i'd put a couple much closer to the pin.

Drove the ball well. Typical horrid putting. Bogey-Birdie to start, then an inexplicable quad on 3 and again on 7. Mentally checked out the last few holes. Couldawouldashoulda shot 90.

Love Morgan creek..
Played Northview Ridge course shot 79 from the Golds tough winds 20-25mph and cold 9c but wow the course was in great shape..played behind a guy from nationwide tour solid game and the Remax Match Play was also being played same day.

45-45. 8 pars, 3 triples, way too many doubles. 32 putts, and generally good with the short clubs. Horrendous off the tee though, and horrendous is an understatement.
played a four-man scramble yesterday in what turned out to be nearly 3 inches of rain. Our 85 put us in last place of all the groups that finished -- although there were some DNFs -- 16 shots off the winning score of -3. Playing in that much rain sucks.
Two man scramble yesterday. 75 (+3) from the tips. Bad ballstriking days are not exactly when you want to play the back tees - we only hit seven greens in regulation, including zero par fours.
once again, didn't warm up properly again and managed a 9 8 7 start. rest of the front nine went well, except the last hole. 59 on the front. probably could have stayed under 50 if not for a couple of disastrous holes. on the back nine shot a slightly better 55. the greens dried up by then and i putted way worse on the back with six three-putts. ugh.
went out for the first time this sunday (see: location), and i (12ish handicap) beat my brother (5ish handicap)...first hole of the year, hell, first SWING of the year...drive 280 right down the middle, pitching wedge to 20 feet, banged the birdie...
forgot how awesome it was to be out on the course...we brought a small bowl, and honestly i can't remember being more at peace, at least since last golf season!!
73 from the tips, par 71 at home course....back to back birdies on 5 and 6 got me back to even, stayed there til bogeys on 15 and 17 and lipped out on 18 for birdie.
game is getting there, slowly but surely its coming back
39-38-77 today. Pretty easy course, but still excited because I probably failed to get up and down from 1 foot off the green 4 times, and still shot pretty well. Also excited b/c i hadn't played this course in a while and I could really see the difference of the length I have gained. Also got some horrific breaks. 1st hole there are literally 2 trees in play on the entire hole and they are right next to each other. I managed to find the exact spot where I had no swing. Then later I stupidly tried to drive a 360 yard narrow hole (severely downhill/wind behind) and hit it dead straight....but the ball caught a tree and was in the woods with basically no shot to the green.
11 pars 7 bogeys. Should have easily been 15 pars 1 birdie 2 bogeys. 71 sounds a little nicer. Oh well, I like being "upset" about a 77.
At my last golf course I worked at, there was an assistant pro who had been there for like 6 years. In those 6 years, ~5 other assistant head pros had gotten hired, and passed their PAT. He was still trying to pass his PAT.
He was a douchebag so I always thought it was funny that he couldn't pass his PAT, but I think the last time he missed right before I quit working there, I really felt sorry for him.
Anyway, good luck...what are the requirements again? Won't a 76 get it done?
